Pulled the trigger on Zimmerman/Akebono combo

After alot of research i was debating between Zimmerman/Akebono or Stoptech blanks rotors/pads or just go straight home with OEMs. I think for the best $ and quality, you will find Zimmerman/akebono is to be like OEM but without the initial bite. We'll see how it goes...

So i finally just ordered from Autopartswarehouse.com. Found good prices plus free shipping. I ordered Zimmerman coated front rotors and akebono EURO-Ultra premium pads.

Got everything for $246 shipped! With a help of a 10% coupon i found online. I hope these are good rotors and pads! Will let you know my review in a few days.

LMK how it feels. I have ake's planned for the front too, and I'm now looking into what rotors to get (zimm, balo, brembo, oem, all solids)

Yeah, let us know how that works out. Seems like a solid combo that's definitely easy on the wallet.

I have this combo and its great. My brakes were wearing down and needed replacement, but for the last half of their life, they would squeek, make random noises, and dust the living crap out of my wheels right after washing the car. couldn't stand it.

with the new zimmerman rotors, akebono euroceramic pads, and ate superblue fluid, all those little annoyances are gone. It does take a little longer for the brakes to heat up and bite like stock, but no noise + no dust make driving the car a much better experiance.
