What does "waiting at the port" for the second time mean?

I know it's been covered here, but a quick search did not turn up anything relevant. My car was to arrive yesterday at the port; the 800 number now says "at the port awaiting transport" again. Does this mean it is at the VPC or just sitting around at port of arrival, waiting to be transferred to the VPC?

I am not sure but mine is saying the same thing and it got off the boat on Fri the 9th. I hope it is not still sitting there, the vpc in South Carolina is only 1.5 miles from the docks

Actually the VPC is in Greer, SC at BMW Manufacturing (home to the Z4 & X5). Cars are railed from Charleston to Greer via Norfolk Southern. It is a one day trip.

From my understanding new BMW & MINIs that arrive at Port Hueneme are driven to the VPC. It is a fairly short drive, maybe a block or two.

More than likely your car is waiting to be shipped to your dealer via Wagoneers.

The web site now says "at final processing center." Assuming it's behind by a day or two, it's been there for a couple of days. My dealer is about 60 miles from the VPC. C'mon phone, ring!

The site and the 800 number is not accurate. I got my car and still showing as "En Route". The most accurate source is your SA or dealership. Yes, They has to know, so just ask them.
