The 911 has been my dream car since I was a kid. Will own one at some point, just doesn't make financial sense right now. |

M2 is cool and a worthy trade up for sure due to better suspension and bigger brakes, but again for $33,000 on an IS it still doesn't make sense. 911's are just so damn expensive I don't know if it will ever make financial sense unless you have like a million liquid laying around lol. Think about it 125-150k is 12.5-15% of your networth...in a car and that's for a millionaire! Doesn't hurt to dream though |

This relay also occupies the space where the Mishimoto Oil Catch Can mount gets attached (see photo, not my car). I was looking at how I could install the OCC without moving the relay and determined if I could re-route the wires leading from the relay to the fan, I could make a mount and put the OCC very close to where the Mishi mount would put it. I started looking at the wiring, and noticed it was routed under the intake. I then found something ugly, the wires were chafing on a sharp flange of the intake. Glad I caught it when I did, just before it wore all the way through the insulation (even though photo may look like it did). Not sure if this routing is unique to my car. It was built in October, so maybe there is an Oktoberfest factor? Was someone a bit hung-over the morning he wired my car? Suggest you all check your wire routing. See attached photo-documentary.

Just found this photo. Two things to note:
1. Possibility for alternate location for Mishi OCC 2. Fan relay wire routing looks to be the same as mine was. |

Q: Ramps that work with 335is?
Has anyone found a set of ramps that are low profile enough to drive the 335is onto? I don't really feel like making or modifying ramps if I don't have to. Thx.

Thank you, I have 12mm in the rear and 15mm in the front, slight rubbing when turning super slow but it does not bother me.

greetings and salutations
finally just read all 194 pages of this read. Really doing my best to not repeat any unnecessary questions. However, I have racked up a few q's for my fellow IS owners.
1. what mods can I get away with without voiding factory warranty. 2. anybody know of any mod friendly service managers in South Florida area? 3. how much will a walnut blasting cost at dealership? 4. looking to do mods to add fairly reliable power, please advise on this line up and the order of which I should do the upgrades... cobb v2 cobb protune or BuraQ vrsf catless DP vrsf mic are stage 2 CAI Er charge pipe with Tial BOV (Or upgraded DV...not sure yet) BMS Catch Can RB Inlets Also, is there a huge difference in quality between some EIbach springs and a KV 1/ST coilover kit? Looking to get a tiny bit lower just for looks. And which is better BuraQ or Protune? Info: Just bought my 335is 1 month ago. Nav, HK, Cold weather, 19's, Mineral White/Black. 40k Miles. Sold my SC e46. Located in South Florida (Boynton Beach) |

I would suggest going MHD instead. I've had both but moved everything over to MHD from Cobb. I've been using BuraQ on my 335is for over a year now and you won't find a better tune for your car IMO, especially if you have a DCT. I believe his tunes are still unlocked and although he prefers ATR, he will work with you and get your tune in the TunerPro format that MHD uses. Highly recommended and he lives in S Fl as well. I have the BMW Performance Suspension, slight drop, much improved handling, and great for the daily driver. That should get you started.
