Halogen to Xenon Headlight Conversion Help
My E90 '07 328xi came with the stock halogen headlights. Like many on the forums, I want to convert to xenon headlights. I've read a bunch of the DIY walkthru's, but with all of the available options (OEM, Depo's, Fishcakes, pre-LCI style vs LCI style) it's more than I have bandwidth for right now.
I want my car to be clean and close to stock looking. No ultra bright blue AE's or 10k bulbs. Simple and clean is what I'm going for. Could anyone who's local be willing to give me a hand with figuring out what's needed to do this conversion? |

Did my years ago. Just need the right bulbs and some Canbus ballast. I don't have any capcitors, resistors, or relays in my setup; just OEM xenon housing, Philips 6000k HID H7 bulbs, and Canbus ballasts.

Rock on, thanks all. This may be way easier than I thought. And I still have the 6000k bulbs and Canbus ballasts from my A4, so I may already have most of what I need. Just need the headlight housing with the projectors.

Just make sure you go oem. One guy at my gym didn't take my advice and went with after market. A few months later he had his halogens back on and was looking for a pair of oems.

He stated that the housing wasn't well sealed and after about 2 months he would get condensation, even though everything was sealed up tight. And there where times when the lights would not turn on, random bulb out errors, or only one light would come on. Seemed like a combination of a shitty constructed housing and cheap ballasts.
