Mods to my 335 coupe

Thought I'd share the latest couple mods...

Thunder GP 7500k angel eye bulbs (E92-Lighting)
Front Aero Lip (M-Force Design)

Finally, just installed the front aero lip and paid special attention to get a tight fitment unlike other people that have gaps up the top. Got it for $470USD painted and shipped to my door and the quality and fitment is great. FYI, I was quoted something like 800-900AUD just for the plastic part from bmw here, and then add painting on top of that, so I think this lip was a great deal. Really looks mean, doesn't it!

Very nice front bumper a lot better
I have been thinking of chipping mine for a while now just siting on the fence on this one.
How does your car handle all that torque in ds mode without lsd
The 335 is very fast as is.
The rear tyres won't last 1000 ks if i take off from lights all the time.
God dam i love my 335 coupe.
My car and about 50 other bmw's will be on show at eagle farm raceway on JUNE 28th MOTORFEST and about 1000 other cars as well.

Hi Chappy, mine is a 6MT and the clutch handles the extra power well. If you think your stocker is fast, wait till you take one that's had some work for a spin I'm in western suburbs if you ever want to catch up and go for a spin.

Sismic, the BMS was from Mike@N54Tuning.com and he was a top guy to deal with. It looks a little ghetto, but serves it's purpose. I think it was $130usd + $40p/h so all up something like $230AUD. With the V3 and the BMS intake, the boost and throttle response is almost instantaneous. It actually doesn't feel like a turbo car, because the power is so linear and smooth. Whereas before i'd put my foot down...wait for it...wait for it...then bamn my head would be blown back as the boost kicked in and the car took off

xs boost,

I have a 335 coupe in Sydney and also had the Vishnu V1 with the BMS DCI and got 242rwkw and recently (apparently) got the upgrade to V3 and got 250rwkw. These numbers seem quite low compared with yours, what are you running at now you have also upgraded to V3?
I Know you have an exhaust as well so any idea of what you got before you added that?

Thanks a lot

Front end looks much better and the exterior look will now match better with the not so obvious improvements. I imagine with those mods your 335 would post lower numbers than a stock e92 M3 now.

I have only gone baby steps so far (JB+ / BT cable) for ease of install and removal plus invisibility. Before I go to further and add any more power I feel mine (AT) would definitely need first $3k for a LSD to take full advantage. It is already is breaking traction at 2.5k rpm often in 1st and 2nd and putting full power down out of a corner - forget about it!

You can always change to a 335.
When I bought the 320 Wagon for my wife, I was planning to keep my 330 convertible and get a 335 Wagon, but the difference was $40k.
About a year later I saw a demo 335 Wagon with 8,000km on it in blue, but without the M-Sport (which we have). The change-over was about $25k.
So, the moral of the story is if you really want a 335, you can get one and you won't lose all your money.

Hi guys,

Vishnu Canbus, BMS DCI, Helix FMIC, AR Design Catless DP's, Custom exhaust no cats and a few other goodies. Putting down around 400whp and I get around 400km to a tank. Kills an M3 no worries until the speed gets over 180-200 then the M3 catches up

Here's a quick vid since so many people ask me about the exhaust.

This is when cold, so you can see it is very loud and raspy. Once warmed up and you get on the throttle it is perfect

Hey, these are almost the same mods as mine...
Installed the boost gauge, Vishnu Dual Intake and Procede today.
Couldn't put on the Intercooler as it arrived damaged
Still waiting on the downpipes.
Once they are on I will get the custom exhaust.

And you don't think that's too loud?

Good stuff mate, gone from being tempted to add a procede to all out! How amazing is the procede canbus? Especially when you tweak a couple of the custom settings.

It is embarassing loud when cold. Once warm it has a very noticable presence and full throttle is ridiculous. I also get a lot of induction "pop" and backfires through the exhaust when shifting gears at high RPM. Pretty funny for a bimmer and sure scares a few people

What FMIC is that and what dp's are you getting?

Looks like my wiper fluid motor might have packed it in as the sprayers are not working. I'm not sure whether to take her in for warranty repair with all my bolt ons.

The FMIC is a Helix stepped. The Downpipes are AR (but they are still on back-order).

I would take the car in for warranty repairs (the wiper has nothing to do with the bolt-ons).

I am at the moment a bit disappointed with the Procede. I am only running Stage 1 Map 1, but sure it pulls a bit harder, but not that much in 1st and 2nd.
I wonder if it is just my car, or the DCT as I just haven't been able to break traction; should have gone manual
I didn't get the manual, as I hated the manual box in my E46 every damm day I drove it :-(

Perhaps I need to tweak the Procede (?)

I've been told by Vishnu that because we have better gas than the US, we can run 1 stage higher. You can try stg 2 and mine also runs fine with ign cor between 50-70% - keeping in mind that JB3 operates at 0% equivalent and simply relies on stock DME for knock control. Just make sure you do a couple datalogs to confirm.

Also, procede is not yet optimised for DCT which may be half the battle. As soon as Shiv gets his hands on one in the US, I'm sure it will be a different story.

You'll love the AR and helix. The helix is a real pig, but my IAT's don't move

I might have to, but the current mods will sure be noticeable.

Last time I had it in with just the exhaust and procede and the boys in the shop loved it and reved the guts out of it when driving it in to the garage. I was not impressed
