N54 Water Pump part number

Hi Guys, anyone can confirm me the part number for the N54 water pump please. It appears there is a new pump hence i dont want to fit an old one to my car who wasnt spared by the water pump failure many 335i owners experienced.
Thanks a lot.
Cheers.

Look on real oem, (put in your chassis number on the home page to get the right model / year of your car)

Yep i've done that and it gives me 11517563659 as part number. But it appears BMW came out with a new pump with a part number ending with 885.I wanted to know if this is the correct one to replace with.

If BMW had a new pump for the N54 it would be on realoem.

Like the various High pressure fuel pumps for example, new ones keep coming along superceeding old numbers.

If the 885 pump was 100% for the N54 then it would be listed for the N54 as it is for the N55.

As the N54 has a different number I wouldn't risk it personally.

+1 . It doesnt show an old part number for the N54 waterpump.

I replaced mine last year. Saved £100 lot by buying from BMMiniparts.com:

Also remember when changing the water pump the aluminum bolts are one time use. They need to be replaced every time they are removed. They are part number 11510392553.

Yes, but if you go in via ETK (what real oem is based on) you'll see that dealers are instructed to use the new part on N54 powered cars. We actually have a few customers in the USA that have confirmed this on their vehicles.

My Siemens pump died at 33k. The new one is an 885 that is made by continental. Not sure what the design changes are but I hope it last munch longer. 33k miles for a $500 pump is unacceptable. I mean you do a elec waterpump to save fuel, I'm sure a mech waterpump that cost $50 and last twice as long would net me a lot more money than the supposedly fuel savings over 33k miles.
