Hello all. I recently found a gas station selling VP 110. I was told by a few people that it was unleaded race fuel but after looking it seems VP 110 only comes leaded. Unfortunately, I have already added 2 gallons on top of 10 gallons of 93. Will it be ok to run out that small amount of leaded fuel or is it possible it could clog the cats or ruin my O2 sensors? Running cobb stage 1 aggressive if that makes any difference. I wouldn't think this little bit would hurt anything just this once but wanted to get some feedback to ease my mind. Thanks in advance.

More than likely you will be fine. There is always a chance that it could mess up your cats with that little, but I'd doutbt it. You could always top off your gas tank with 93 to dilute it down more.

Depending on strong of concentration & how often you run Leaded Race Gas, it will wear down your o2 sensors faster than if you used Unleaded Gas (Pump or Race). If you're just running Stage 1, I'd only put a few gallons in to make sure I had no timing corrections. Otherwise you're just wasting money.

Thanks guys. I only put the 2 gallons in this once and will add addition 93 to dilute it further. I won't be adding it again due to the lead content. I do have access to e85 so I will probably just add a couple of gallons of it on every fill up to clean up any timing corrections. E85 still makes me a but nervous though. But not as much as leaded fuel.

I wouldn't be using leaded at all...even if it's only a few gallons every so often. Talk to Terry about this or any of the tuners....

For now since it's too late, just dilute it with 93 gas. Find 110 unleaded or E85, much cleaner/safer than leaded lol

If you can, Sunoco seals Race Gas (at a reasonable price compared to VP or other private vendors). They sell between 100-104 unleaded. Anything with a higher rating (110, C16) usually ends up being leaded.

I only have the 110 available near by. I have a station with e85 right down the street but have yet to run it. The weather changes around here so often I'd like to keep the octane up to deter any timing corrections and keep from having to log everytime the weather changes. I've done plenty of research but is there ANY reason I should not run a 30% mix of e85 (other than reduced gas mileage).

If you're already running good 93 octane then you shouldn't need a 30% mix to clear up timing corrections. If you're having small corrections putting in 1 or 2 gallons should take care of it.

Of coarse, if you do run a 30% mix then you could adjust ATR to make a lot more power

You can get away with running pure leaded gas as long as you don’t have cats and every other tank, so you would need to run regular unleaded gas in between to clean out the O2 sensors,
VP does sells 109 unleaded, which is your best bet.

I was told that leaded fuel clogs cats very quickly. O2 sensors will get slower over time, but the cats are what you need to worry about with leaded fuel.
