What seats will fit my car? E91 wagon

I have been searching for a few months now, for some black sport seats for my E91 wagon. Was wondering if there are seats for other bmw models that would fit my car besides the E90 and E91? Anybody have any experience trying other series? example: 5 series seats?

5er seats are too wide. the only option would be e90/1 seats. maybe look into an m3 sedan seat. I know a lot of e46 guys put the coupe seats in their sedan so that may also work for the e92 seats. i wouldnt recommend the convertible seats though because of the seatbelt routing.

You could always spend a lot of money and get the performance seats or aftermarket racing seats.

Been there. I searched North America for a decent set, couldn't find any.

I ended up buying an LCI 2011 e91 leather interior from an ebayer called Aut0pr0ducts in the UK. Ended up getting front sport seats, e91 rear seats, M Sport steering wheel and airbag, M Sport door sills, black interior door pillars, grab handles, sun visors and leather door cards.

Unfortunately he does pick-up only and doesn't ship. I had to arrange for a freight forwarder to pick up and crate the lot, get it onto a container and ship it across the pond. (Airbags and pyrotechnic belt tensioners are considered HAZMAT). Not cheap, but worth every single penny, by far.

Seat installation required a bit of rewiring and transferring my original seat occupancy sensor to the passenger seat (which was previously the driver's seat).

No, not very difficult once you figure out how to remove the seat covers. It turns out that the seat occupancy sensor for the basic seats fits the sport seats too. The sensor is not glued to the foam, just held in place by some T-slots cut into the seat cushion. You need to replicate the slots in the sport seats bottom and fit the sensor.

Of course, if you can get North American seats that wouldn't be an issue.

Just noticed your in Montreal neighbour! Same here. I've got sport seats in my 06 325XIT, but have the dreaded warning on my i-drive screen.. there's a known issue with these seat mat sensors.. even a service bulletin.. haven't gone to BMW yet to see if they'll cover it !

By all means, go see them.

BMW issued a recall #13V564 regarding the issue. See: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=925434

Granted that is a BMW NA (USA) notice but BMW Canada should have a similar recall in place. If not, it shouldn't be too difficult to convince them to honor the American recall. More than likely, that won't be necessary.

BMW should replace it at no charge. I had mine replaced at no charge by BMW Laval in November 2012, six months past the end of my CPO warranty. They even topped up the oil and washed my car - gratis.

I've been dealing with BMW Laval for about 25 years and they are by far the best car dealership I have ever done business with.

If you want to try e92 sport seats, I have a set in my garage. They're heated also.

I put E90 M3 seats in my E91...
had to do a little rewiring to get everything to work.

totally worth it, and I think they look much better than the standard sport seats.

...plus a M-sport perforated wheel.

Looking into aluminum trim, rear seats and door cards.

Did your E91 come with powered seats before? What rewiring did you have to do? I'm thinking of something similar. Thanks!
