JB3 removal + exclamation
So i just installed my JB3 and i love it. But i had to learn how to take it off too. My problem is that the large 24pin subconnector that you insert into the slider is "stuck". i cant take it out and im worried about how to take it off when i need to go to a dealer vist.

I tried but it wont budge, the smaller connector next to it is pretty easy to pull out but the black one wont budge, thats why i stopped because i might pull it to hard and the pins might come off

Did you watch the Video.... There is a tiny little clip you have to pull back so you can slide it out... Only one of mine still holds it in, the rest loosened up.

yea i watched the video, i pulled back the little clip but it didnt budge one bit. Come to think of it, it took a bit of force to slide in the subconnector to the slider assembly.

I would check to see if anything got jammed in there... like a piece of cloth tape that they wrap around the factory wire looms. No matter what, if got it in, you should be able to get it out... make sure you pull back the little retainer clip and use a very small screwdriver to pry from the wire side.

I'll try it again when i need to take the car in for service, hopefully it loosens up. I thought i inserted it backwards and when i tried to remove it, it wouldnt budge but i compared it to the other subconncetor and i dont think theres any way i could have inserted it backwards. Plus the JB3 works rather nicely. IT JUST WONT SLIDE OUT.
Thanks for the responses though

Oh and when i reseted the map and picked map 3 i got the yellow exclamation.
I got this when i insert the key, press the start button (without pressing the brakes) but it goes away after i start the car. And do i need a BT tool eventhough i have an 07?

Yes, everyone should have a BT cable even if they have no mods. It's always good to make sure the dealer is telling the truth when they say something needs to be replaced.

What do you need to take it in for? If it's an oil change or maintenance i wouldn't worry about it if you can't take it off. Just set it in valet mode. I do that all the time unless it's for an engine problem or in my case I had a fuel pump problem. Good luck.

My SA is cool with my DCIs but i'll definetly put it on valet mode. Last time i had them change a light bulb on my X5 and they reprogrammed the ecu because it was sending too much voltage to the bulbs causing them to burnout. Im just worried the same thing might happen if i ask them to fix something simple then end up with a big problem and they see my JB3.
