i'm with you and would pull the trigger if the buy-back title cars were priced right. the car above is at an asking price of almost $40,000. there are a ton of cars with similar mileage, options, and condition with clear titles between $32k and $35k. i wonder what these dealers are paying for the California buy-back cars. They are seeking huge profits.

price should be lowered, no matter how fair the condition is. it still has buyback on the title and therefore deserves 4-5k discount. ask for it and walk away if they dont give it to you. they will come back to you and ask you to come back

Prices are way to high, ask yourself why BMW is sending cars from Calif. out of state. If sold in Calif. people would not pay the prices that BMW whats for a lemoned car.

What would you expect to pay for the car linked above? Just out of curiosity.

what does the title actually list as the problem? again, if spelled out HPFP, i'd buy it with confidence.

http://www.kbb.com/bmw/3-series/2007...icetype=retail $28,000 kbb retail value of a similarly equipped 335i coupe with a clean title. So you are saying that you would offer them $16k?

The 4k discount is already in the sale price. I have also lurked Donohoo for months. Show me same condtion cars without the buyback title (not salvage) for this kind of money. And most of their (Donohoo) vehicles are CPO's with plenty of warranty left.
For the member who has experience with Donohoo, what would say about them? They had a gorgeous M sport for a few weeks ago but I didnt pull trigger. |

I agree with most here who say "buy." My 2009
335i e92 was a CA lemon (HPFP). Got an inspection and paid $29,500 for it. Had ~9,000 miles on it. Sport, premium, OEM spoiler, blue water metallic with grey interior. Just get an inspection and make sure the 120,000 mi./10 yr. warranty is IN WRITING. One more thing. I was well taken care of by Mark Schneider at Perillo BMW in Chicago. Very professional and considerate. Grade A. |

I've been looking at lemon/buybacks too. Considering some of the prices and knowing that I'd be willing to deal with replacing HPFP I might go for it. By now I would think the 2007's would have had HPFP issues fixed.

QC335 is this your car that you traded in? I was seriously considering selling my car & going to take a look at this exact car. They gave you $19,000 for it? Now it looks like they are trying to sell for $19,000 to get rid of it. Maybe it has been on the lot for too long? Have any issues with the car before you traded it in? Damn looks like i got a hell of a deal. Paid 27500 for my 08 335i sedan w/ 20k miles. Sport, premium package. Clear title. I would definitely not pay that much for it. Even if you plan to keep it for a while, its going to be sold some day and the price you get will reflect the buyback.

HPFP is a thing of the past. Get service records and find out all details of what was fixed on the car.
Generally speaking, the 09's are fairly reliable, even more than 07/08. A lot of the parts on the '09s are on their 3rd or 4th revisions. You can look this up on realOEMparts.com. I have a 09 myself and it has been fairly reliable. The HPFP was replaced voluntarily and I didn't have any problems with the old HPFP or the new HPFP. |

Bought my car from the same dealership 10 months ago. Haven't had any major issues, just had to replace some of the injectors (under warranty, they were leaking or something) last month, that is pretty much it. Try to get price down as much as possible and go for it. I didn't get the price down nearly as much as I probably could have but I was really, really eager to buy esp since finding a black e90 m-sport was not easy.
