Not that the shop is against diesels, but a lot of them make a HUGE mess. And the diesel guys that ask to dyne 9 times out of 10 end up being trucks, and we just dont have the means to dyno trucks.

As for the under panels for a dyno day it is a time issue. A lot of newer cars have under trays, that in order to strap down properly need to be removed. If you would like to dyno your car that day and have a question as to wether or not you have panels needing removal, please feel free to call.

Considering where you're making the post;

Do under panels need to be removed on BMW E90/92/93's for this event? We pretty much all have them.

This would be a great opportunity for a meet before winter settles in.

Anyone going that could also help guide me with the install of the Escort Direct Wire Smartcord?

I will most likely be going to this event, and would happily give you a hand with the smartcord!

YES! I may attempt it prior to this meet but it's good to know that someone will be there that has experience with it. I am going to buy the Add-a-circuit to tap into the HomeLink Fuse like the DIY states.

They already said you D guys make a mess. It must take too long on dyno days where everyone has to get a turn or something.

You must have not seen 335d. Current generation diesels are as clean if not cleaner than gas engines. His main concern was with diesel trucks that have no particle filter and create soot.

Can you please be more specific? I don't believe we have more under panels than regular 3series. Do I need to make apt for the dyno?

The under panel removal is for all cars of all makes. This is not just for the diesel guys. Sorry for the confusion. And dyno time at the event is first come first serve. If you wish to get on the dyno, please arrive early to make sure you get a spot.
