Don't flame me, but why would we want to do away with DI? What are the downfalls with such? And benefits with the proposed setup above?

Moar fuel, that's the only reason. DI is more efficient, burns cooler and better, you can lean it out, numerous benefits. But the injection window is tight, and the fuel pressures reqd. are gnarly. So supplemental port should solve that, and from there it's largely just up to the size of the turbo and tuning. We'll see when the motor lets go, which we don't know yet. I'll guess much north of 700 you'll start losing pistons.

For me I want to spray meth via a port plate like this. I took my kit off not long ago and don't plan to use it again if spraying via the chargepipe or IC is the only means.

This will not replace the factory DI. It will run along side it and be used to provide the fuel necessary for big horsepower cars or to help those wanting to run E85 or any other number of uses.

Good things are coming guys

Gotcha. Would this be an effective port injection meth plate? Would spray injectors to help avoid deposits etc

haha like a automatic car was for your intake valves. hehehe

Nice work guys. HPF tried this and failed big time, but then again, after they got the e46 right by outsourcing everything to make it work, they couldn't design their way out of a wet paper sack.

Allen, why don't you post up the new intake manifold and throttle body also? Please... Car porn is the best.

I need my own 3D printer so I can make my own BMW parts like HPF.

BTW - Sorry for the HPF bashing... I'm just happy that PTF has picked up the pace and is not turner their backs on the N54/N55 community.

Its funny following this since we were doing this with mazdaspeeds roughly 4/5 months ago.

Will we be running this off of a split second tuner, and running a secondary tank, or are you guys working on something to Y off of using a bigger pump and factory tank?

Vargas has a HPFP upgrade coming out and the injectors on this car are rated at over 2000cc, so I don't know if secondary injection is going to be worth the money and time when you can just upgrade the HPFP and the low pressure pump without having to worry about all the extras needed with secondary port injection

Have you seen pictures of what the vargas hpfp upgrade looks like? Its actually a secondary HPFP in addition to the one that you already have.
