Thumbs down Vehicle position doesn't correspond on the map

This SatNav install in BMW (i-drive,prof) is absolutely rubbish.I bought a new DVD disk 2008-2 Professional(220 pounds) two weeks ago for my car and everything was OK until yesterday. From yesterday car position is all over the map, for instance I parked my car on my street on the map shows different street. To be sure is not the disk I put the old one 2005-2 same thing.I went to hidden menu in SatNav,GPS picks up 3 satellites.I called BMW and asked them where is the problem?Answer was bring the car in will put it on computer (will cost 100 pounds) and will check?Check what,no answer?I tell you what I'm very disappointed from BMW, so many problems, very poor customer support. I had an Audi( new A6) before never had problem with SatNav (Audi uses NavTeq as well).

As well when DVD drive start reading a DVD disk there is some noise like when you put a scratched disk in your computer,I checked the disk no damages, no scratches.

Mine is doing the same thing with the 2009 maps, it was fine with the previous 2007 maps. I haven't tinkered with it much lately because we've had a lot of snow and it's been garaged. I'm interested in hearing what you find and will post my experiences as well.

I also just reverted to my old 2007 map DVD and it isn't working for me either. I think this should be covered under warranty, you shouldn't have to pay to have this checked out - it's a bug in their product.
