Most popular car you ever sold?

What's the most popular car you ever sold? As in...your phone rang off the hook with interested buyers?

I recently helped a friend sell her 1998 Jeep Wrangler with 198,000 miles. We asked $5,200.00 for it and got $5,200 for it. It was far from perfect but no one seemed to care. My phone rang off the hook and I got tons of text messages.

Toyota X-Runner I bought for fun to see if I could get into trucks. It was a no go and sold it 3k over sticker to a dealer!!! Those were very sought over back then! First time I ever made money on a vehicle I bought new!

When I had my M3 on the market, tons of people called/e-mailed. Most of them lowballing me by about $10,000. I laughed at a few of them and hung up.

I sold my 2008.5 GTI for my exact asking price the day after I put it on craigslist. The car was a year old and I had a guy come and literally kick the tires and wipe the inside of the tailpipe with a hankerchief. He offered me $2k below my asking and I told him to get lost. The next guy to come started the conversation with "I'm a professional negitiator" and proceeded to pay me my full asking price when I told him someone had already test driven the car that morning. The first guy called me back the next day to ask if I came to my senses - I told him the car sold for my asking price. He said "oh..." then hung up.

i've only sold one car, a 95 acura gs-r. put it on the recycler and sold it to the first guy who looked at it, got a pretty good deal. i laugh at my choice of mods, but i did keep everything very clean, and learned my lesson with a relatively cheap car.

My E46 330ci LCI. Car sold over bluebook in 3 days, the guy who bought it contacted me about an hour after I put up the craigslist with an additional 20 or so hits on the car before I was able to meet up with a buyer.

I also sold my mom's saab 9-5 aero wagon for her in 48 hours for asking price. Funniest transaction I have ever seen, the guy who bought it reeked of weed and literally busted out a showbox full of $20s and $50s to pay for it.

I had my Mazda B2300 listed for a bit this year. Its a 1996 truck, 212K miles, I listed it at $3000... phone didnt stop ringing. Didnt end up selling it though - I chose not to.

Fastest car I sold... oh boy, I dont know. My E39 M5 went to the second person who asked about it. My Z3M was bought sight unseen. Ive orchestrated a trade with someone solely via text message with a friend's Honda Accord for some random craigslist person's 95 M3.

I think I am more often the other guy on the transaction... when I go to buy a car I know what I want and bring cash ready to buy. Im the guy who shows up with cash and loads your car onto my trailer within 3 minutes On more than one occasion I had people come and stop me while I was loading the car on the trailer because it seemed too good to be true to them... thought I was scamming them, lol! Have bought a few cars like this sight unseen from other states as well and driven em home.

Come to think of it, I bought my Z4 the day it was listed and paid only 10% less than asking price. I was the first person to look at the car.

This is the stuff that makes me mad. "Come to your senses..." Idiot, lol...

It's like the guy that offered me $10k below my asking price for my M3. Ridiculous.

Yep. E36 and E46 M3 brought them in big time. Everyone wanted to drive them, no one had any money. Got 95% of what i asked for them. The E36 went to California and the E46 went to St. Louis.

Bunch of broke local bitches.

2002 Acura NSX. I sold it for $40k+ several years ago.

I laugh at 2005 NSX's going for $86000 still with 20000 miles. Thats a joke and the car is worth half of that, if that. lol
