Trade in the d for a 435i?

Hey guys, so I took the d in for service and while waiting I was caught looking at the new cars next thing I know I was asked if I wanted to test drive a 435i coupe six speed. Beautiful car and I so much fun to drive mainly since I miss driving stick. The sales men was really cool he let me open her up and take curves. So long story short he ran numbers but they wanted to add 200 more to my current payments, which is a no go for me. The sales men even said not to they want to much very cool of him. But of course the next day the calls start coming asking what can they do to get my business. What do you guys think? I love my d and it's my first bmw but the carbon build up left a bad taste in my mouth and with my warranty close to ending I kind of thought about it, if they can get the price down that is.

It's much worse in the D, most DI cars don't need to be touched before 100k, the D is another story, their are some DI cars that get CBU quick, but not like the 335d....

BMW DI will need it done before 60k miles.

Hyundai DI it's 40k miles. Basically any DI engine that makes decent power without the complexity of secondary port injectors will have buildup.

The OP should looked on the N55 forum.

The 428 numbers are a blink of an eye slower than the 435. Also the new B-series engines are coming out over the next two years. My wife likes the 4 series but I don't like the price tag. In my world buying a 435 would border on irresponsible.

My only reason would be cause I miss the 6-speed manual gear box.

Wouldn't go to the 4-series for performance or MPG.

I say check out the M235i and see if you like it more than the 435i. It's somewhat a bit cheaper, has better steering, lighter and personally I like the look of it more than the 4-series.
