07 335i good deal?
Hello All,
First post, and newbie here looking for my first bimmer (coming from a line of infiniti's), yes I am turning to the dark side Started looking today and found one I liked, here are the specs 07' 335i sedan, sports, premium, logic7, 20k miles CPO listed @ $34500, sales guy said they probably won't go below $33500, I just threw out a number at $30,000 and he said probably not, we didn't go further. How much do you guys think would be a good deal? I just want a FAIR price that reflects the car's market value Also, he said their dealership is the only one that's been approved by BFS for 2.9% financing for 48 months on these cars. Does that sound right? Please respond, I appreciate, thanks |

The financing rates on CPO cars right now, until tomorrow are:
0.9% for 24 months 1.9% for 36 months 2.9% for 48 months Through BMW financial. He's pulling your chain. You're in a conundrum. The rates expire tomorrow, and he has a car that you want. If you're willing to wait, there are a lot more 335i's coming off lease in the coming months (It's just about 3 years into the model life of these cars), so you'll have more to choose from. Because there will be a greater supply, you'll probably get a cheaper price. On the other hand, BMW said that the drop in car sales is slowing down (take that for what it's worth, since they can't say they're doing poorly), so prices overall may be going up. They may also be less inclined to offer good financing rates for cars. Good luck with the tough decision. My philosophy has always been not to buy a car I can't pay for outright; so I would wait. |

You should have no problem finding what you want in So Cal, don't just buy the first one you find, its a big purchase, make sure you make the right one.

The problem is all BMWUSA cars are all dealer listed, as we all know there's a significant difference between dealer list price and what "things are worth"

I mean you can get an idea of what people are asking for. I think there are lots of cars on the bmwusa website that are similarly equipped that are listed for less than what that dealer is asking for.

As everyone else said, there is going to be a steady stream of supplying coming in off lease now, so I would anticipate pricing to trend downward at a steeper slope. Just make sure the car you buy has the factory installed aux. oil cooler (grill is in the pass. side front fenderwell, can't miss it.) Good Luck |

Purchased my 07 E90 335i in March, 19k miles, CPOed, well-optioned (sport, premium, etc, 6MT), $31k-even out the door. Was 20 months from in-service date (which is relevant for the remainder of the 4 year original warranty).

From what I've read here and on Bimmerfest, it's pretty difficult to get BMW to install the aux. oil cooler if you car is not equipped with it. Just rule out ANY '07s that don't have one.... This is a pic of the pass side front fenderwell. |

Thanks for the detailed info. Are the 08's different story then? I'm actually leaning towards 08's now. Trying to avoid a first model year car (07's first model year w/ twin turbos)

you'll have to do some searching on this site, but I believe most if not all '08s have the extra oil cooler.

I paid 25,600 for my 07 E92 with ALL options but heated seats but it had 49k miles from a private seller. I wanted a CPO but the dealers in Florida wanted way to much and I figured I could just buy an extended warranty to cover my ass.
