Has anyone redrilled their hubs to 5x114.3? If so, are there any clearance issues?

Why would you downsize the bolt pattern size on the hub along with having to find brake rotors that would be the same specs and bolt pattern. To me it would just seem like a mess to do instead of redrilling the wheels or running adapters.

I would rather do it the correct way then redrill the wheels or run adapters. Adapters eat up offset and redrilling the wheels is hideous. It typically is pretty easy to redrill hubs (and rotors) - provided there is clearance...

Sorry I meant redrilling and sleeving the P.C.D. I know a few people who did that to retain the original holes.

I don't think anyone has ever tried downsizing the bolt pattern on a hub on a BMW except for converting to centerlock.

I am confused what you mean here? Do you mean drilling 5 new holes in the wheel or something different?

Its different from drilling 5 new holes. Basically you get the original holes enlarged and then you take a steel sleeve and press it in the hole to make it the correct bolt pattern.

Here is a picture of what my friend did. He found a set of SSR SP-1s off an NSX then redrilled and sleeved them.

That scares me personally. I rather redrill the hubs. I don't know why, I just wouldn't put full faith in it unless it was done super pro.
