Procede V4 installation

Hey guys, I'm new to modding and all that stuff and I was recently stuck in deciding between the JB3 and V4 for my 335i but I've made my decision. I think I'm going to go with the V4 because the number one most important issue for me was making sure the dealer could not find out. Couldn't take chances and the V4 is good with the code clearing. Now I've seen a few videos on installing the V4 and it seems pretty simple, but still seeing as its my first time, I dont want to mess up. I live in South Florida and planning on installing the product around August 10th. If anyone would like to help with the installation it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much!

I would suggest you learn how to do it yourself. That way when the time comes to remove it, you know how.
Having some help is fine, but don't just pay them to do it... just my opinion of course.

OP- You should have any problem finding people in your area with Procedes. In fact, even those who have installed a jb3 pnp will be able to help as installation is the same. But like shoes said, the installation is simple and just about anyone can do it. I can do a full install in less than 3 minutes which shows that there really isn't much actual "work" involve. Just take your time and follow the video.

yeah yeah! thats for sure the smartest thing to do! What I would like is for someone to install it in front of me and would explain to me everything. I would even like to install it myself and have him behind me coaching haha. But the problem with the vid is, if i get confused im stuck :\ cant have that! haha but thank you!

3 minutes.

What people like the original poster and I want to know is how long it takes you to install the Proceed from the time you open the hood to the time you close it. It takes me about 3 minutes to plug everything in once the ECU is opened. But it takes me a while to get to the ECU and then seal everything back up.

In any event, I'm not mechanically inclined AT ALL and these tunes are very easy to install. Just set aside a few hours your first time and go slow.

That 3 minute time is from hood closed to hood closed. But, to be fair, I had a battery operated 8mm socket. I think the video is posted somewhere. lol

Okay. I need to get a battery operated socket then.

In that case, it would probably take me 20 minutes. Either way, it's pretty easy. I didn't think I'd be able to do it without breaking things, but I manage.

Shiv - I viewed the install video but still got confused between all of the connectors and wires.

I'm afraid I'll make a wrong connection and ruin the car.

I'm looking for pdf file that has plenty of detailed pictures but haven't been able to find one on your website. Can you please post one? I want to be absolutely sure I can do this myself before making the investment. Thanks.

Guys I'm having trouble with installation.
I installed all sockets with watching install video.
But one cable (it is thin, black wire and has red female plug on the top) left. There is no information about this cable on the video. I know that I skiped the map switching section on the video, I taped its cable. But one cable left and like I said there is no information about this cable on the video.

Please help.

What is it? Where I need to plug it?

It's for progressive methanol, no need to plug it in on a simple install.

+1. Same goes for the that little 3-wire black connector. That's for nitrous mapswitching.

So in a basic install, you have those two connectors not connected to anything.

Question for you Shiv.

With all of the in car features like the boost and AF guages in your factory dash, do you have to run a plug into the car to the OBDII port?

While the question was not directed at me, I can answer that. You do not have to plug anything into the ODB port to monitor boost, etc. It is all controlled from the procede.

You have to extract the wire from the other side of the connector not the one in the pic!

The other side? Do you mean the back side? The opposite of the 2 slot is the 6 slot, & I can't see where where you would be able to extract the wire from there??

Like cn555 said, you need to get access to the other side of the green connector still attached. I did the exact same thing you did then finally realized my error.

It's simple once you get to the other connector.
