introduction from Australia!
Hey guys, just wanted to make a formal introduction
First off, I've purchased my first, very own BMW 335i M Sport E92. A bit of background, I have had my old '07 IS250 since 2009 and it has served me well and was a hell of a first car to own. Joined the Aus Lexus Owners Club and we started off with single digit meets and it has expanded and expanded and we now see a lot more members and have quite large meets. My IS250 had a few mods, nothing much really, just an intake, mid pipes and a few cosmetic mods. Now how I ended up with a E92 335i. Since the end of last year I was looking for a new car as the IS250 was starting to feel old and wanted something fresh and faster as I was getting off my provisional license that was restricting me from getting a more powerful or turbo car. I first looked at the 2011 IS350 F Sport or 2014 IS350 F Sport, but the 2014 was a little too expensive for me and the 2011 was pretty much the same car as my IS250 with a different engine and a few cosmetic changes. Long story short, I've had deposits on a 2014 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro S Line but cancelled that when I saw a beautiful 2013 F30 328i M Sport but that deal fell through and I was left with my IS250 for another 4months. Before the Audi and the F30, what I really wanted was a E92 but thought the 325's were a bit too slow and the HPFP problems in the 335 put me off. That's when I joined this forum and asked in the AUS section "325i vs 335i" and EVERYONE said 335, and I learnt that the HPFP isn't as expensive to fix as I thought. Bought my car off a forum member and it has JB4 and AR Catless DP's already. I already have it booked for BMS DCI and angel eyes while I'm in Sydney and a few friends I made on this forum have kindly agreed to help me code the digital speed into the dash once I'm back in Melbourne. After that I will make a booking to have the Alpina flash done for the tranny. Also going to be debading the 335i as I think it looks cleaner with out the badge. THANKS!!! I love this forum! HAHA

Mmm those wheels... A fmic couldn't hurt or a aftermarket exhaust. I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the BMW PE.

yeah planning on FMIC and CP and BOV soon, but gotta save money! haha the exhaust for me is just right with just the DP's wouldn't want it too much louder but the PE does sound good, but quite expensive maybe in the future!

I'm itching to drive it in a few days! also the car has black Dakota leather interior with nearly all options (for australia) except the folding mirrors and cooled seats car has also had its HPFP replaced, along with water pump, coils and injectors so I'm confident nothing will go wrong for a while, will change out the CP soon as I've heard the stock ones can't take the extra boost that well but it has been fine for a while since the owner has been running map5 with DP's! hopefully will hold out for a whole longer thanks again!! |

Hi y'all from the great state of Texas!
Welcome:
Keep that E90 hummin'. Don't carry too many 'roos in your trunk, they are dirty critters. Come and visit us in Texas. I am a member of the Tejas BMW Club, 890 members strong. We have monthly driving and social events. Last March we rented an F1 race track and hosted driving instructions and racing. Mikey "Tex" Sevel |

Welcome I to live in Australia my last car was a Lexus IS250, but something about BMW the feeling is part of the car not just setting on top like the lexus
But you will have fun in your car as I have since 2008 and never looked back, parts are not really dear from overseas, if you are going to tune the car, the torque is amazing. Enjoy your car.
