Exhaust Popping/Backfiring

So im looking into buying a Riss Racing Exhaust or the BMW Performance one. For those that have heard the exhaust in action, do either of them make "popping" or backfiring noises on deceleration or as the revs drop when letting of the gas?? I kind of like the raw sound of this, so just curious to see if either exhaust made the popping sound. Thanks in advance!

if you want backfire...go with a muffler delete.

To answer your question, the Riss Racing has a tamer tone compared to the BMW Performance Exhaust, since the BMW exhaust deletes the stock mid muffler. The BMW exhaust has that popping note upon letting of the gas.

I believe all aftermarket mufflers made for the E90 do have that popping noise on deceleration.

Ok and then just to straighten things out... The BMW performance exhaust is cat-back, so that means it eliminates the resonator and keeps the cats (two sets)? Would the riss racing exhaust eliminate the resonator and secondary cats? Thanks

The BMW perf exhaust removes the mid muffler at the y-pipe, while the piping goes up just past this and requires cutting of the stock pipe. The Riss Racing exhaust is a full bolt on and replaces the stock mid muffler. I am not sure if the RR exhaust utilizes the stock cats.

Not sure if it is a resonator/silencer/muffler but it is on the Y-pipe.

The exhaust will work, but would need the 335i trunk under tray because it is different than the N/A cars and a bracket welded up...so in all reality, nope it wont work
