Good time to be modding pre-lci e92's it appears, lots of great deals popping up on eBay, nothing for the LCI community unfortunately
Thought I'd share something I saw, 1M bumper made of ABS plastic not cheap fiberglass for a very low price from a power seller? Good deal I thought Look at eBay item no 171121015634

GREAT FIND!
Just factor that you will have huge fitting costs as this is most certainly not going to be bolt on. Do you think mesh and vents are available from them? Otherwise finished look could look terrible? |

That said, the fitment of the sample on the e92 looks good on the ad...would've risked it if it fit my car

god dammit, and i paid so much to MStyles lol... nah, i tried one these generic bumpers on my e46 (it was an m6 replica bumper)... fitting took a good day with lots of cutting and that... worse thing was that i had to actually do permanent damage to my car (cutting off bumper mounts, drilling mounting holes etc. nothing visible with the bumper on)... the car was only worth 3k so i didn't mind, but no chance in hell would i do that to my e93... i'm guessing fitting with a decent guy will cost around £300-500... grills and that can be bought for less that £30

That's really cheap for that bumper anyway never mind an abs one. I may have to invest in it. just need to get 1m grill cost but fitting would be fine as iv done a few major body kits in the past and im sure ill get around this. Nice find.

I'll ask the seller about the fitment and also further discounts if people did a group buy?

My E90 M3 replica bumper came from out that way and I have to say fitment was near perfect... I can get it off and back on again in 60mins, and I didn't have to cut or destroy anything. Someone on this forum had taken the plunge before me, so I guess everyone is waiting for a guinea pig!

Quick response from the seller to some of the questions I asked
I asked 1) How is the fitment like, is this a straight bolt on or would modifications be required Response: Fitment is really good, you can use old bolts from your bumper to fit it, to hold the bumper to the wheel arches you will need rivets. We reduce the gap between the headlamps and the bumpers so it looks better than the original :-) 2) Would you be selling lower grills/mesh for it seperately ? Response: The original BMW grills (Kidney) will fit our bumper so you can use your orignal kidney grills with our bumper, unfortunately you will need to buy an aluminium or ABS mesh for the lower grills/mesh and fit it yourself 3) Is there any room for negotiation in price if a group buy was organised ? If so, what sort of discounts can I expect Response: We can speak about the price, I produce them, so just please make me an offer and we will speak 4) Would you be able to arrange painting of the bumper through your contacts for a good price ? Response: I cant paint the parts because I dont have a paintshop, I don't want to do an unprofessional job, afterall this is a BMW 5) Would you have a similar bumper for a facelift E92, people with an E90 would be very interested in this bumper too, is there anything in the pipeline for them Response: Unfortunately not, I dont have any parts for E92 facelft and E90 The seller is also advertising M3 side skirts made from ABS plastic at a very good price, so I asked 6) Would also be interested if a deal was available on the M3 side skirts too? Response: Situation about the side skirts is the same as the bumper, we can speak about the price, so make me an offer, I also have rear M3 bumper for E92/93 but the car is in germany now and I'm waiting for photos

I'd say include the option for the side skirts as well...not everyone will want them but a bulk order is a bulk order. The more sale you guys can give him in one hit whether its the bumper of side skirts will be the better the discount he will want to give
Just a suggestion tho! Quote:

Okay the m3 skirt part number is 171114790848, for the guys interested in this let me know if the price is okay, I'll negotiate down the price further of course but wanted to know if u r happy for me to proceed ?
Also guys I am not falling foul of any forum rules by organising this group buy am I ? I am in no way associated with this seller, I just happend to come across this listing on eBay whilst looking for the Arkym front lip for my car..
