Went to Ivo to put car back to stock and to do new OEM clutch because I'm selling my car.

Wasn't really sure who was going to machine the DMFW because of the horror stories I heard - so I wanted it done right. After speaking to Dzenno for a while I found out he did his at Mr. Transmission. Unknowingly, there is one just south of Ivo's place and there is another guy Ivo now uses.

For anyone looking to do clutch and doesn't wanna pay $600-$1000 for OEM DMFW - go to Ivo an get her done. Machining was $150, clutch kit from BMW with bolts was $450ish + and then Ivo's work.

Ill post up a pic later, but car runs great, awesome instant engagement- drives like new. Almost sorry I have to sell it lol.

Edit: since I didn't install my Spec Stage 2+ it's for sale. $750 BNIB complete clutch kit.
Hey that's awesome. I know there was one in Mississauga on Dundas and Erin Mills that could do the resurfacing. Good to know there's more locations that can take care of it. Both Ivo and Dzenno/PTF are such amazing N54 resources to have especially up here locally to us. Both guys are top notch!

I noticed that PTF started selling the SPEC clutches recently as well and many other parts. Sick deals on some stuff on their website. I think I'll be going with either the stage 2+ spec clutch or the 3+ but with the new steel single mass flywheel that they just released. People are reporting next to no chatter which is a big win compared to what I recall hearing on most single mass flywheel-ed cars out there in the past.

This thread is great for several reasons:

1. I now know extensively what Ivo is capable of

2. I now know what all you bastards have done to your sexy rides lol :P

3. I really need to meet this Ivo guy one day

That's cause your too busy trying to find out what to change next cosmetically lol!

Ivo has been great to me since I got my car last year - too bad I can't use him anymore.

Anyways, here is a pic of the machined DMFW -it's beautiful

Performance gains are not to be expected unless your valves are completely covered in gunk. At this point you'd be restoring power and not gaining any.

Fuel efficiency I noticed a small change. I immediately or about 5-10% better mileage and after a few thousand I saw approx 12-15%. I was getting only 400km/tank and then saw 450+/tank. Keep in mind I added a Stett CAI and that may of helped somewhat due to lower temps.

Cleaning valves is usually more so to cleanup rough idling, jumpy gear shifting and other small irritating issues with fuel management and response.

I definitely recommend it and then throw on a catch can to help keep it clean.

Another bump for Ivo. I've been going to him for the last 1.5 years or so back when he was still a forum secret, haha. Get all my work done there and see him about once a month/2 months.

He's recently hired a new guy, a few years younger than me, around 21 I think. Great guy and he knows his stuff, but he's a bit clumsy. Good thing Ivo still checks over his work. Luckily I was just getting minor engine work done, but for anything extensive I'd probably make sure to request Ivo does it all. Ivo is absolutely top notch and is extremely diligent in what he does. It's obvious from the get go that he's super careful, which is my main concern and why I don't do alot of work myself because I'm a clumsy idiot.

But ya, let this just be a heads up, although the new guy is good, he's still young and has a bit more to learn in terms of diligence.
