Woah dude. What's with all the polls? could have just made one thread and ask for opinions. Polls won't help you, peoples explanations will.
Truthfully, I will say it again Windows is fine if used properly and not doing anything major. If you can afford a Mac then it is the better choice. Linux owns all though.

Mac FTW .... used to be a hardcore PC guy... recently made the switch when I bought a 24" iMac for photo processing and some video editing ... I liked my iMac so much that when my pc notebook took a crap I replaced it yesterday with a 15" Macbook Pro

Funny, i did the same thing as you in reverse. Bought the 15" macbook pro a month ago. And liked it so much, bought a 24" iMac (new model) 2 weeks ago. Macs rock. And I've been a PC guy all my life. Can't wait til Leopard is released next month.
