Window tinting

Today I found my rear window tinting is peeling off.
I recall reading a post here previously saying window tinting spoils the data dot technology of his car.
May I ask if there is anything I need to pay attention to when I want to tint my car? Any special film for window with data dot?

It won't ruin the 'data dot' (unique vehicle signature used to identify stolen cars and parts) but people say that tinting over the dot matrix (i.e., the dots on the rear windscreen) will peel and lift over time. Just ignore that bit and enjoy the window tint on the rest of the car

I was joking - but in my experience all after market window tinting will noticeable for reasons other than the dark tint over time.

Thanks Stu.
I saw people talking to vinyl the dotted part before apply the tint too.
Hmm, but I guess I might just leave it for now as it is not that heavily peeled off yet.
But would need to redo the tinting once it starts to peel off more.
