Help my rims are rubbing :S

Hi guys,

I got a BMW E90 318i 2006

Im in a bit of a problem here

I've got Vertini Concave Magic rims
Front: 19x8" ET35 235/35

Back:
19x9,5 ET18 265/30

I live in norway, and the roads here are kinda bumpy.
Speed bumps dont make me rubb my rear wheels cuz i go around 10km/h over em :P

But sharp turns on a shabby road does.

I was thinking of getting coilovers to make the car stiffer.
like Bilstein pss 10 or H&R monotubes

Anyone tried em?

Then again i feel ill have another problem if i go for lowering the car with new coilovers.

I got ET18 on the rear wheels, maybe they stick to much out?

Help is much apreciated.

Take it to a good body shop and do a very slight fender rolling. My co-worker did that to his 07 Lexus and he paid $50..

By rolling the fenders, does the chassi get weaker?

maybe i can return my rims, Wich ET should i go for if so?

Not at all...just make sure the shop will not over do it.

The e90 on that pic has got 20" inch rims and is lowered.

20inch" rims in norway is a waste, to much mountains and bad roads, thats why i need some rubber :P hehe

anyway im looking forward to lower my car tho, anyone tried bilstein coilovers ?

It's that ET18 that's causing the rubbing - I think an ET30 is the most you dare go. Take a look up there in the rear fender well and see if it's rubbing on the painted METAL part or just the carpeted inner fender lining?

The rear rims are definitely way too low of an offset for a Non-M. You'll need to do some fender rolling to cure that issue. Generally the recommended fitment is a 9.5 +30-35 with a 265.

I checked under the fenders, quite alot off paint thats gone :S

doesnt look like it has rubbed away all the layers tho, its on a whiteish color...

is it possible to cut the rims down in ET from the innerside ?

As stated, roll your fenders, and to add on top some camber will help too.

Well i discused with the shop i bought the rims. They only have ET20 or ET45

So looks like im changing them in for ET45 and spaceing them out to ET27 and go down from 265/30 too 255/30. hope that will do the trick.
