The plastic you cutting off, is from the bumper? Trying to gauge how much work I will have to get one install.

Its the inner plastic after you take the bumper off its easy any hand saw or cutting tool can cut it off took tops 2 minutes to do.

The plastic you are cutting off is from the radiator shroud not the bumper. Although I see the OP removed the front grill, that is not required

I just recieved mine and should be doing the install this weekend. Quick question though, did yours come with the support brackets for the bottom of the IC or do you have to fab those yourself?

They come with it, I actually need to see if I can bug Tiago for some new ones, as the bodyshop forgot to put mine back on when they replaced the bumper in November. FWIW the intercooler hasnít budged at all without them (at least as of 3 weeks ago when the car was last on a lift), the side support mounts seem to do the job fine.

Maybe they stopped sending them out/it was a redundant part? I did the FMIC on my own, and I 99.9% remember those two metal retaining bars coming with the intercooler. I sure as hell didn't fab them up myself

Brackets aren't included anymore guys, we've replaced them with a longer set of screws which have proven to hold up fine in our shop car for the last 1.5+ years or so. The brackets tend to add a bit more weight to the nose of the car which we're trying to avoid since we're already adding a bit of weight with the upgraded intercooler.

Mine's been on sans brackets since mid November, and as of a few weeks ago the intercooler hadn't budged one bit. So personally, i'm not too worried about the brackets. At some point I need to swap out the clamps though, the damn bodyshop replaced the nice Tbolts with some worm clamps. They're holding fine, but it's lame regardless

Looks nice, it looks like I'll be getting VRSF IC/DPs in the next couple of months.

What size/pitch/length are these new screws? I'll just grab some from Fastenal. I have a 7" core from the initial group buy and didn't get these. The two brackets didn't work on my car because the xi has a little different suspension geometry on the front.
