VOB bmw in rockville, md

has anyone been to this dealership before?? im from chicago, but i am looking at a 530xi wagon there. i was just curious if any of you guys have been to this dealership and have dealt with them before. ive been looking at some wagons in chicago and this wagon in MD. i just wanted to know if they are pretty flexible in pricing or pretty strict to staying close to their prices. i know here i chicago there are some dealerships that are very flexible in pricing and some that would only take 500 off at most.

I think the general consensus on this forum is that the VOB BMW sales department sucks pretty badly I got my car there though and had a pleasant experience (treated well and received the $1250 repeat buyer discount even when the 335i had just come out and was not being discounted whatsoever), so to each his own I guess. Nonetheless, good luck with the wagon!

It's their service department that sucks, but you wouldn't have to worry about that. Their sales are good; majority of ppl got good prices on their cars (me included).

I just worked through a deal on a 335i, had an excellent sales experience. Can't speak for the service but would definitely buy from again. Let me know if you want some contact info for the CA.

bought my m3 from there and my family has bought from there many times... they sales people are nice and you can work a deal if you try hard enough...just dont give up easy.

As for the service....its just plain horrible.

I tried to buy a car there. I went in, and started dealing with them. I was on a lunch break, so I didn't have much time. I gave the guy my number, and asked if he could find one on a lot first similar to what I wanted otherwise I'd order. He never even called me back.

Granted I am 22, and maybe they weren't taking me seriously. Either way, I wouldn't deal with them again.

VOB is variable. They do a lot of sales, their inventory is big. I would definitely call various dealers within VOB.

Been to VOB several times. Stay away. There are plenty of BMW dealerships in the area - no need to go to VOB. VOB lost 2 sales from me (my 335i and wife's X3). Also, their parts and service department is just as bad as their sales department.

A lot of rich ppl in this area (in the Montgomery County area in general) so if you're not ready to pay a premium like others, it wouldn't hurt to try elsewhere. Best bet is to talk to 3-4 dealerships, know what inventory they have very well, and how long the inventory has been sitting on the lot.

+1001.

Do NOT go to VOB. I loved my experience at Passport BMW. They have a sexy new building and Saturday Service! Call Passport BMW and ask for John Dugan.

Tell him Mo, the guy with the 328xi coupe sent ya.

I would go somewhere else. check with dealers in VA also. I told the CA what I needed and what I was looking to pay. He took my number and kept insisting on a deposit so I will be one of the few "preferred" customers he will call when a BMW that matched my needs came into inventory. I gave the CA no depsit so I never received the call. A very poor way to deal . IMO.

Beautiful place. Coffee shop, gift boutique, marble floors, etc. THe whole thing is ridiculous. Just like that M3 with the $5K wheels and carbon fiber roof that they have on the showroom floor. It's worth a drop by just to see that...

I got an awesome deal from VOB, paid invoice in 2007 when everyone here was saying that +$1500 over invoice was a fair price.

You might want to contact my salesperson at VOB Nan Wong. She is excellent. I have purchased two cars from her and 5 of my friends have as well. She is always honest with me and has given me extremely good deals.
