Why did you have to shut down before the cone? Braking distance?

Huge thanks to everyone who came out. It was great seeing a lot of you again and meeting a lot of new faces. We hope everyone had as awesome of a time at the event as we had running it.

lol it was a botched start for sure so I don't even count it as a race. I am sure Shiv's car is much faster than mine.

Yeah, I was pushing them really hard, but I can tell you Sick's 335 is really fast. It was really nice meeting him and I wish we had more time to run again because I think it wouldn't have been as far apart as it was if I was able to get out of the hole in third. We rolled up at 40 and like a dumbass I left my car in second at the line and spun. By the time I grabbed 3rd he was gone. Once in the power I couldn't pull him back in. Stock turbos just don't have the top end. Regardless, I honestly don't think I would have won even if I had a perfect start. He was able to pull on Tyson's Audi and Tyson and I were bumper to bumper. The only reason I won the race with Tyson was the fact that he missed 4th and I was able to get him at the end by a car, otherwise I think he would have nosed me out.

Reading between the lines, I really think RB's have a lot more power to be mined running on e85. I think a lot of people realized over the weekend e85 is much better than 109 as long as you can manage the fueling. Then the issue with the AT Trans needs to be addressed as well. Just might be time to switch to a DCT...

Hey man, it was good meeting you the other day. Hope we can get together again at the next event and hang out. Wish we had more time to talk.

Hey man, it was nice meeting you and look forward to hang'n out at the next event. I couldn't agree more that the RB's have a lot of room to grow in HP on e85. Look forward to seeing how that works out. Nice kill on the Lambo. That must have been a very rewarding feeling. Sorry I couldn't hang and close out the day on Sunday. I didn't get home until 5:30am. It was a long drive and I think I missed half of it because I was on auto pilot. I haven't had a chance to look at our video, but I'll drop it on my skydrive and send you the link.

I did put in a few races against cars that ran the single turbos while i was racing somebody else, which allows me to assume the outcome of what it would have looked like. From what it seems, it would be a very close race. Both setups still need to figure out certain problems. Misfires, slipping trans, torque converters, and traction seem to be main issues at this point(just like with any other high powered, rwd cars). I'm sure by next event we will have 2 strong running twin and single cars to be lined up. RBs still have a lot of room for improvement without touching internals, so personally, i'm looking forward to e85 tune, and the 4-5 problem to be worked out.

I was extremely pleased with my cars performance other than the trans issues in 4-5. Videos will be coming soon.

Just a little teaser for you:

Hey Wedge,

Was good hanging out with you at the event! We definitely still got a lot of room for improvement, but then again, there's always room for improvement At this point our(and should also be your) main concern is to strengthen the auto tranny to handle the loads that we put on it. Engine seems to be running strong and without any signs of failure(knock on wood). You had a much further drive than most of us local guys, so it's understandable why you left early. We were the last 4 cars at the event, and horsed around at the very end a little, so i dont regret staying. Would be great to get the race from your angle, i also have it on Erics go pro! Overall the event was an absolute success and I'll be looking forward to the next one like a kid awaits Christmas... or a fat kid the desert

I don't think using a formula of A=B and B=C therefore A=C works in racing. Each race has to many variables such as bad starts engine and Trans issues traction, miss shifts etc. I would wait for the Automatic Trans issues to be resolved for both RB and Single cars and then run them for a good comp. I would have loved to run you as I even asked to line up after your race with Ken. This was before the tranny issues stayed persistent. We have a good idea on what needs to be done to resolve it and the team is working on it. The races will occur as there are always other events.
