CIC retrofit - unable to change VO

Completed the retrofit from business nav to CIC professional. No problems so far...

Connect up laptop to the car to change the vehicle date from #0305 to #0909 , but no luck.
I get a COAPI 1181 error when trying to write to CAS.

Tried with a different laptop, same story.

So, thought I'd be clever and edit the FA, but not write it to CAS. I was able to do this and the CIC module came up on the ECU list.

However, I still can't add $609 to the vehicle order in CAS. It just won't work.

Any ideas here...maybe use the ZCS method, but how...??

Problem solved. I was using daten files which are too new. The only valid time criteria was #0315 , therefore using #0909 didn't work.

You wouldn't happen to have a right up on the conversion would you?

Yep...

I have been looking for guide(s) to do the conversion from the older nav units to the newer CiC for a while. All I find are bits and pieces with no full conversion.

Unfortunately, I did not put a guide together.

You are correct though, that there are no clear and concise guides around, however, I suspect that this is due to many different combinations / Franken-
builds floating around.

My personal preference is never to use an emulator, thus ruling out a much coveted NBT retrofit for me

If you need any help, just ask away and I will do my best to help you.
