Where are the '09 reg'd cars?

Anyone else noticed a distinct lack of '09 reg'd cars on the roads?

I've so far seen only three: Audi S5, Fiesta and a Focus! Not looking out for them as such but something that normally catches your eye perhaps.

Just a thought, but does anyone think that if new car sales remain so low despite various offers by the respective dealers, then eventually second hand car values will start to rise due to demand and a lack of nearly new cars on the market?

The BMW 'car park' at Thorne looked full when I passed the other week, a definate sign that the new cars sitting there 'aint moving.

I saw the most gorgeous 09 Aston DBS on Sunday 1st in Statford-upon-Avon. Finished in black, it really was a thing of 160k beauty!

Other than that, not seen many at all My mate at a local Beemer dealership saw 8 09's go out this year, sales apparantly well down on the norm

Think I've seen two or three. One was a broken down Red e92 on the hard shoulder of the M25 Northern stretch last Friday.

Maybe it's the velocity that you are now moving at that makes you miss them...

Think the second hand market has already picked up, there does'nt seem to be the bargains there was at end of last year.
Prices seem to be firming up a lot just now and lack of stock, mostly due to less new car regs...

I've seen a few, three RAV4 (getting them cheap round here??? or just lacking in taste???) , some non discript hatches, a couple of Jags, a RRS, a Defender, 2 Discos and a couple of BMW.

Didn't notice many 08's or 58's either when they first come out though seems to be loads of them now!

Can't believe how fast it bloody got there as well!!

No '09 plates in the car park at work which is very unusual.

Never mind second hand prices going up, the local Ford dealer phoned me (I'm looking to buy my wife a Fiesta) to say that despite the 4.7% price hike by Ford in February, Fiestas are going up again at the end of March - 600 for five doors versions and 800 for 3 door cars!

If I can't buy the car before this price hike, i won't be buying it.

Get ready for price hikes. The VAT reduction was a waste of time in reducing prices. 2009 stock is being hit hard as its often bought in Dollars or Euros and Strerling is on its arse. Expect average 10 - 20% price hikes on many things by the end of the year.

Apart from some '09s on this forum, I have seen no '09 plates on the road at all up here.

Not in the 335d Carlos, even post re-map I believe it wasn't de-restricted, but yes that saw around 150. The Cayman had upto around 164 but obviously took longer than the Turbo to reach a similar speed. Turbo just sort of it did it with ease tbh and felt like it would simply carry on - pretty impressive and it certainly didn't feel like I was doing that sort of speed either through the feedback from the steering and road holding. Excellent.

Saw an '09 Mini today with a Union Jack job on the roof.

Saw a couple of 09's today.......proof that when you're not stuck in an office all day, you actually see life!!

A white SLK 200 driven by a 50 something blonde bimbette hogging the outside lane of the dual carriageway at a pathetic 60 mph
and, this is a bit unusual...........a motorhome lol, the paintwork of which didn't look too dissimilar to sparkling graphite.
