Procede / PWM: DO NOT BUY! NIGHTMARE!
FINAL UPDATE:
No, now I'm just giving up on there shit kit. From them telling me you can tap a vacuum line (which you can't on N55 as far as I can find out) to their instructions being utter shit. There kit installation guide says insert 2 wires in this place... to bad my kit doesn't have those wires. Essentially the lesson here is they are a crap company and can't properly organize a kit with a decent set of instructions to install. The car also feels sort of weird with the procede lately. It will randomly just start to accelerate at like 70-80mph faster and its just no consistant across the board. They have replaced my unit like 4 times in the past year I think. Time to move to JB$. Emailed Terry and he was helpful and responsive in minutes. Vishnu (Shiv, Robert and whoever else) are basiclly useless and tell you information without being sure that its right. They have told me incorrect information numerous times even though I bought N55 stuff. They tell me shit that's relevant to N54. UPDATE: After finally getting through to Robert, he saw the photo and realized the only right thing to do was to refund me. Thank You! For all you who plan to order anything from Vishnu.... everything is great... but the charge pipe! The Procede is great, but this pipe is just unacceptable in my opinion. Lets start with fitment. I could not get the pipe to fit, even close to nicely after relocating the power steering fluid and putting massive amounts of stress on the silicon connectors even though I should not have to. Heres a photo of the best fitment I could get after stretching the silicon to their limits. We had to run the methanol line between the power steering hoses to even attempt to get them hooked up. Secondly... your probably wondering why there is a hole? Well thats where the methanol bung was. We put the nozzle in and we DID NOT over tighten it. The bung would wobble left and right with the slightest amount of pressure. Give the bung a little tug and it comes right out! Thats great... After inspecting what should be a nicely threaded hole, it looks like someone drilled a shitty hole and just put a little lock-tight and expected this to hold up. For a $1,100 methanol kit I expected something a little better than this charge pipe. Guess I'll have to invest in an ER Charge Pipe and hopefully Vishnu will take this one back... Lesson learned.... you can't buy a product for $1,100 and expect anything. I guess next time I'll have to do more research on the quality of every part in the package.

I'm sorry to hear your experience.
Have you considered emailing them before putting them on blast though. It is possible you may just have received a defective unit and you may be eligible for an exchange. |

Jeff, an exchange of this product for another product that is the same? Usually, I'd agree with you, but this isn't just a defect in my opinion and also this post will teach them something about quality control. This was part of a $1,100 meth kit (without a tank). If you want a $1,100 from me... I expect a kit that has no major issues. This is a key component with blatant flaws. Had I gotten a defective pump, thats fine but this is totally avoidable with simple quality control.
If I had been paying someone to do the install, this would have costed me a bunch of money. I would have had to pay them to install the pipe and than uninstall it because of these issues. The reason I won't consider an exchange is because the pipe design won't be changing for me. I have done some photoshop to show you guys just what that pipe actually looks like under the silicone connector. The red is obviously the TB and the Blue is the closest we could get the CP to come to the TB. The silicone connector is just barely holding on and this fitment is pathetic. The silicone connector isn't there to make a bend. If it was, it would be curved like the one that goes to the intercooler. The TB to CP silicone connector has not the slightest curve. I checked it to make sure I had it the right way because I was so amazed that this couldn't be the case that it fitted so poorly. Maybe the bad threads could be changed, but in theory you are still at risk to the same thing happening. There is maybe 1/8th of an inch to thread into giving you like 3-4 threads. The only good way to tap this pipe would be to put a nut on the inside and than this would be fine. If they don't want to do that than these bungs should be welded in like the ER pipe which is in the same price range. Regardless, the fitment is terrible... the meth bungs are coming out into my power steering lines and the boost sensor is just barely touching the side of the car. Sorry Vishnu... time to redesign your pipe or just don't sell it when there are way better products the community can buy. It's not right.

So your telling me... your pipe didn't look like mine? I don't see how the pipe could possibly vary? I know the cars don't vary that much especially if you have the car that is listed in your profile. That means we have identical cars as far as this kit is concerned.

So why not give the vendor a chance to fix it before blasting them? Maybe you were shipped the wrong part #? Mistakes can happen, nobody expects a vendor to get it right EVERY time. Where the bashing becomes deserved is when they aren't willing to take whatever steps necessary to make the customer 100% satisfied, including a full refund. Doesn't sound like they've had the opportunity to do so yet.... just sayin.

I do not suggest a chargepipe that does not use the OEM throttle body connection system (C-Clip). They cost more to make but its worth it for the ease of install and most important the reliability. I carry ER and BMS chargepipes and would be happy to help if you wind up going another direction for it.

I'm with mike on this one... With factory style C-clip charge pipes available on the market it would be silly to go with any clamp on style. We have not had one single issue with the C-clip popping off and it makes installation a breeze.

So far... I've tried to get in touch with them for a return... and was told I'd have to wait or email Shiv. I was told he is fully booked and is not available. No one else can handle this apparently. On that note, I've emailed him and have yet to receive a reply. Also kinda of bothers me that support is last in the line of importance. As a vendor you should probably support your existing paid customer over helping a new one. Quote:

my fitmet does look a lot different than yours actually. My two meth bungs are facing straight up where yours are slanted to the side, my boost sensor is also facing straight up...

hmm sorry to hear that you are having problems with the CP.
If you decide to go with another brand just email vishnu they will refund you all your money. And us vendors would help you pick a CP that fits perfectly.

Vishnu is fighting you on this??? Are they freaking kidding me lol???? They supplied a terrible product, you are a unsatisfied customer and they are going to be difficult over a few hundred dollars? What kind of back alley shit do they got going on??? Vishnu has dropped the 8 ball with the n55 terribly and I would recommend selling any product you bought from them and switching to a jb4 setup as well as some other meth configuration. They do not deserve the money of N55ers given the total lack of support and advancement of the platform. There are much better companies out there, they only car about the n54.

If I didn't have my whole meth kit nearly installed I'd consider this. I'm going to just charge back the entire meth kit since they won't respond. It's insane.
