nice E92 M3 man. i drove by fairfax bmw when i got back to NOVA and actually stopped by hoping to take it out for a test drive. the only manual one they had was AW, which is my fav color. too bad they wouldnt let me take it out for a spin, but whatever.. they saw my car and the sales guys were all gawkin.. lol, i thought that was pretty funny.

def. come out to the NCC events man. I"m new here and have been to a couple events. hope to you see at the next one (social/dinner at Tysons??)
Bubbletea, I will definitely make it to more events. The Lm-r's are my favorite BBS wheel and actually I want to get a set for my car. I am debating to do those or just buy dedicated 18's with some R comps for the track. Hey maybe next time I will let you test drive my M3, it's always a blast to have some else drive, when you are behind the wheel you are too used to the car and the responses, but when someone else is driving it feels faster and more exciting!

that's cool, i appreciate the offer. we can switch up a bit so you try my moded 335i and see how it feels diff from an M3.

I agree it's sometimes diff when someone else is driving, that's why i had my buddy drove mine and i drove his E46 M3 it was fun and to see each other's car in action which i dont get to see since i always drive my own car.

i love the LM-Rs.. awsome wheels. you should def. pick a set up.
here is one on a E92 M3.. HAWWWT:

To all,

I want to thank everyone that came out to ChapterFest yesterday. It was an absolute success and quite possibly the biggest chapter event ever (definitely bigger than last year's Fall Meet). Although I'm awaiting the final results, I'm very certain we had way more than 300+ people and 200+ cars!!!

All the NCC officers and program directors were very pleased with the turnout and we all hope that you have seen parts of the chapter that you havent seen before. Combining autox, concours, and a social takes some intricate planning, and hopefully more members will now partipate in other concours events and/or autox their cars (lets get those garage queens out and see how your car was meant to be handled).

We were fortunate the weather cooperated and there were some unbelievable cars out there. All the vintage 2002s, super clean M cars, the highly modded and the extremely rare (that Z8 was incredible) all came to make a presense, and it was worth the price of admission IMO.

Sorry about the gravel parking for general admission, but didn't know about the lot setup until too late. I'd like to have everyone in the same general location, so we'll work on that in the future. No complaints either about Red, Hot, and Blue, other than having too much food left over. I'll be eating pulled pork and chicken for quite a while

We have quite a few ideas to improve next year's ChapterFest. Not bad that we really only had a few weeks to put this show on, so we'll make sure that next year we start a little earlier to tighten up some of the loose areas.

As the biggest chapter in the US, we are very fortunate to have the resources and more importantly, the volunteers, to put on such events. I want to also personally thank everyone who helped ChapterFest make such a sucess: Jonathan Thayer (the mastermind) and the entire autox group, Bill Williams and the vintage crew for running the Show-and-Shine, Algie Livingston for handling all the food, and all the other volunteers who put in some time to make everything run smoothly.

I saw a bunch of smiles and received tons of positive feedback yesterday and being my own harshest critic, we'll plan to make the future events even bigger and better.

Please post your pics ASAP, so others can kick themselves for not being there

nice!

I have to say thanks too for a great day! I really loved the turn-out, caught up with a bunch of people I hadn't seen for some in years and others months...I also met up with some of the E90 and new M3 folks who were a blast!

I forgot my camera so I suck...sorry!

Thanks again!

I saw a bunch of e90 guys (maybe about a dozen from this board), but I was hoping for everyone else to show, especially the ones who havent been around in a long time.

Paul we had a great time. +1 on the gravel lot, we just felt so secondary to the main event . As mentioned, it'd been better for photo ops, if we had everyone park close to one another. There was a good variety of cars.

I thought the swap meet part could be better (it was almost non existent). I didn't realize just how entertaining watching the auto-x events was. Suprisingly, the stars of the auto-x weren't bimmers, it was that awesome S14 and RX8

Catering was pretty good and it was nice sitting in the actual stadium. I'd like to see more on site activities, maybe do a raffle or draw or something.

Btw Paul, I paid for 2 general admissions online (me and my guest who couldn't make it at the last moment) but I was only given 1 t-shirt. Shouldn't I've gotten 2? The folks at the check-in tent wouldn't give me the 2n one despite having noted my registrations. T-shirts were nice btw.
