In dash CarPC

Hi Guys,

I wanted to do a quick presentation of the in dash CarPC I have created, I still have to do some finishing touches on it but the important parts have been ironed out

I think it is a nice alternative to the regular multi-function gauges out there on the market.

List of options:
- plug and play
- integrated color touchscreen display, there is a possibility to add a wireless keyboard also.
- Wifi, bluetooth
- internet browsing
- Navigation system
- multimedia player
- optionally a camera can be added (traffic camera/security camera)
- optionally it can control some of the modules in the car (not yet implemented)
- diagnostics (displays engine parameters)+ error clearance
- 2 front facing usb ports, 1 port can be used for data logging.

I will follow-up with a post update once I have this installed in the car. Hope you like this little project

looks like a clean install.. A for effort. Is there reason you decided on a pc versus just using tablet?

Thanks, I wanted to keep the dash as clean as possible, plus a tablet wouldn't fit anywhere and didn't want to pull out the stock idrive system.

Yes for most of the time, but I also use it for social media notifications, multimedia, web browsing(when parked).

I like to keep a close eye on the DPF, so that I know at all times when it's doing it's regeneration. What car PC do you have?
