Passenger side speaker static

Hey guys! The Passenger side speaker is making static noises when the door is opened and closed, as well as over bumps and it persists for awhile after. I was just wondering, is there a way to just unplug it entirely? I dont use my sound system much, so I wouldnt mind one speaker not making sound.

If you were going to unplug it

If you were going to unplug it you might as well fix it.
Because both would involve taking off the door panel.
And this is not such a hard thing to do if you are reasonably
mechanical and coordinated and can do things in order.
If you have the Hi Fi system you can unpug the amplifier plug
by throwing a lever and pulling the connector out of the socket.
You will have no sound after that though.

Thanks! I'm thinking I might just disable all the sound for now. I'll see if I have the hi-fi system; then I'll just flip the switch and pull the plug.

It has a lever that you throw

It has a lever that you throw
after you throw it , it will come out with very little
force . When you throw the lever it comes out halfway
anyway. Push on the lever from both sides.

The lever goes all the way across the top and has two sides
plus a cross piece it has about a 90 degree throw.

What you didn't do is read carefully

What you didn't do is read carefully because I mentioned
in the post when I first talked about the connector.
