Whether you've never driven on a track before and have no idea what an apex is but would like to learn the basics of car control in a safe environment, or you're an experienced driver looking for track time to improve your driving skills, this two-day event is definitely for you.

Back by popular demand, the National Capital Chapter, along with the local chapters of the Audi and Mercedes clubs, will be hosting a two day driver school on the full course at Virginia International Raceway near Danville, VA. There will be four run groups for all levels of experience and in-car instructors.

When: Thursday, June 11, 2009 and Friday, June 12, 2009.

Extras: Thursday night barbecue and event T-shirts included in registration fee.

Registration is now open on the Greater Washington Section, Mercedes Club of America's website.

Good news! There is an Early Bird registration fee of $375 until March 31. On April 1 the fee goes up to $395 (no fooling), and after May 23 the fee will go to $425. Don't let the event fill up before you get your registration in.

I would really like to go to this but have been taking too much time off work to go to the beach and track lately. There is another event like this in November I believe and I will definitely try to make that one. Pseto, you can beat up on my chrysler
