Car on Fire

I know this is not a BMW, but thought you would all be interested to see it anyway.

This is...was...my brothers car.

Long story short....It hit Vtech.
TL-S had a recall on a power steering hose, took it in to get the job done. Job was done improperly, and resulted in a fire.

Nobody was hurt in the fire.

That sucks man. Glad everyone is alright.

That's terms for a nice little lawsuit if Acura fixed it improperly and that was the result.

wow. happened right at the dealer, so I guess dealer has to admit it's their mistake of some sort.

Most popular is running a "meth lab" under the front hood.

If that was you speaking in the video, I was hoping the firefighter would turn around and aim the hose at you..

Glad everyone is okay..

THIS! Im glad no one got hurt. My friends E90 caught on fire her heated seats malfunctioned and burned her seat and thank god she smelled it and it was beige leather and called 911. Car didnt catch on flames but did burn the whole seat down plus damages from the firemen. They got into some sort of resolution with a newer car.

As a firefighter in the Navy and being a prior fighter, I have to agree with this statement, lol.

LOL no, that was not me in the video. I actually did not make the video. The sales Rep at the Lexus dealership next door made the video. I just took his link.

He was cool with it.

Acura is 'investigating' the issue. They have yet to get back to us. They did give my brother a brand new TL as a courtesy car for the time being.
Not to sure whats going to happen.

one thing i learned from this video.
not to buy a car off the guy filming-what a knob
wait till his boss sees it and tells him to take it down
thinks he giving good free pr, really with his comments giving bad pr.
just goes to show that what people think of sales reps is true at times

Glad to hear no one was hurt, there was no explosion and it occurred outside. A friend's car caught fire in his garage with his family sleeping above (no one was hurt).

Hopefully there will a fair resolution.

Is this by any chance the Acura dealership on Queen street (Highway 7) in Brampton?

Not impressed at all...I had the power steering hose replaced on my TL by the same Acura dealer and ever since I get a horrible noise when I turn the wheel.

I had a civic catch on fire on the 401. The fire department came and put it out, the car never started for 4 weeks. Then after a oi change ran for years.

I think the firemen know how to do their jobs.... no need for such comments. Mans insecure as fuck, has to feel like hes in charge so makes petty comments about how thry shiuld do their jobs.
