Also for those who want to DIY this, all you need is a proper install of WinKFP and a DCAN cable.

My WinKFP is still currently set up with the E90 50.2 daten, but after I get the other flashes loaded in I will zip up the NFS folder so it's easier for others to perform.

Thanks Axel for sending me over that info. It appears your mate with the 525d is using ZB 7592130 which is one of the two profiles I had narrowed this down to, the other being 7592134.

Our likely stock ZB number to 7606273 but will confirm that once I can. Below is some text from various data & DAT files that i've started making notes on. You will see a series of comma separated values with an index of this:

ZB-NR TYP-NR HW-NR IX SW-NR AM PIN S CS

ZB seems like a friendly ID name
HW-NR is the flash program. This is a larger file in the DATA directory which is basically the EGS firmware.
SW-NR corresponds on a *.0da which appear to be the "profiles" for the firmware...settings if you will.

170kw (228hp) M57D30TU2
7592130,0000000,7591972,A,7592131DA,0FFFFFFFFFD,00 0,1 V

maybe this?

Hooper,

You should be able to flash back to ZB 7606273 (exact ZB not confirmed yet) following the same process. That's what the 335i guys do.

ZB 7592130 gave me the transmission gear error so i flashed it back to 7606273. Will investigate further.

However, I wanted to let everyone know that the latest stock software from BMW really firms things up quite a bit.

I had it installed by my dealer when it was in for maintenance and while not perfect, is acceptable now compared to the sir slip a a lot from before.

Failures again. I tried ZB 7592130 and 7592134, both left me with a transmission error so I had to flash it back to stock.

Will continue looking into this.
