Smile Luxury Auto Xchange feedback

Need help with this "Luxury Auto Xchange" dealership. They have a few nice BMW advertising and I just wonder if anyone have any good or bad experience with them. Please note that this Luxury Auto Xchange is the one in Alsip, not Luxury Auto of O'Hare. Thank you all.

I bought my car from them...found it online Friday at 6:30pm.. called them at 6:35, put $500 down at 6:45, and flew down and picked it up on Monday morning. They went above and beyond to make it a great experience. The owner, George, is a character...slicked hair and always a cigar in his mouth, haha. Seems like a good guy, and I didn't have any odd feelings about the place. I can see where someone might thikn it's shady, because it definitely doesn't look like a normal dealership. It is a brick warehouse-type building that is a block off of a somewhat busy street. They have a nice sales area, but for the most part there is no 'showrom.'

The only thing I was worried about was if I had a problem with the car... I'm from the Twin Cities...about a 7 hour drive. If there was a problem with the car and I needed to 'return' it, it would be a tough situation. Luckily, the car is perfect.

All in all, I would definitely do business with them again!

I would not trust them. When I was looking for a 335i 2 years ago, I stopped by as they had about 6 available for 32kish. However, apparently the internet sales managers priced them wrong and they were actually $37k+.

Okay well what's shocking is they all had clean carfax reports but upon inspection of a coupe, the fender was not aligned to the door and the headlight was leaking of condensation. Also drove another coupe and the car would not drive in a straight line. The salesman said they have never been in a accident, etc. Probably just got damaged from the transport. In addition, I overheard the owner and a salesperson say, "Is that the black 335 with the frame damage." I was shocked as they had hidden info that was not revealed to me. That frame damaged 335 had a clean carfax!

Well they have plenty of BMWs for great prices with low miles. You just have to be careful when choosing your car. I'm sure they have a few that are clean and have no bad history, but just be sure to do a thorough inspection. Or even take it to an independent party for inspection.

1. Carfax is a nice tool, but not everything shows up on it. When I traded in my G, I disclosed a rear end collision to the sales guy. He pulled a carfax and it did not appear.

2. Regarding Luxury Auto, the only experience I have is my friend who bought an M3 from them that was a POS. They weren't real friendly about the constant repairs either. I'm sure that all dealerships have similar issues, but that was his.

well don't let 3 ney's discourage you from at least checking into it. Just be cautious of everything. Bring a mechanic buddy if you have one to look it over for you, perhaps ask it be taken a look at on a lift by "one of your guys". Also don't be afraid to walk away if you feel like the business practices are looking "shady". Ultimately you have the final say, they are selling the car to YOU.

So go check it out, be cautious and if it works out then you might be getting yourself a good deal.

Normally I wouldnot say a dealership is bad. But I would tell u to stay away from them. One of my friend from Iowa bought a 800mile 2010 Audi a6 loaded.it seemed to be a real nice deal. He paid the deposit and drove all the way to Chicago. I was there with him. We did a rough inspection and pulled out carfax report. No one has title the car before. The sa said it was a showroom model and dealership went down sold cheap .he pulled the trigger on it. On the way back ,the car start to make funny noise from the engine and left front shock began leaking. After he took the car to an independent shop.inspect the paint and everything .it turned out the left front was rebuilded the piant do not match and the shock was obvious used shock..only about 20precent leaft . He still trying to get his money back ..but the sa keep dodging phone calls and all that. My friend is about to sue them. I would say stay the hell away from this place.

Spending MY money at Luxury Auto Xchange

I just completed an email/phone/fly-in drive-out purchase of a 2009 135i conv from Luxury Auto Xchange. I read the negative posts, saw the scary story and almost missed a very good deal from a very good dealer because of them.

I dealt directly with Luca and George (the only 2 sales people who currently work there) and both were straight shooters. I never caught them in a lie or a story. They backed up everything they said. The car was exactly what they said it was, had been waxed and polished before I got there, and was delivered with all the books and manuals and keys, and even a full tank of gas. Luca and his wife picked me up at the airport in their personal car, and George came in on his day off to deliver the car. There was NO HASSLE. I was in and out of the building in less than 1/2 hour from the time we arrived. There were no games, no last minute surprises.

I was in the car business for 10 yrs, have been a 300/500 Master Salesman, Finance Manager, Sales Manager and General Sales Manager for a variety of brands of cars. For the past 12 years, I have owned a Nationwide Insurance Agency in VA. You can contact me at chntllm@aol.com if you need peace of mind. This dealership is NOT Luxury Auto Exchange, and is not affilitated with the dealership in Downers Grove which did go out of business. Luxury Auto Xchange is a wholesale arm of Perillo BMW. They are not going to jeopardize their new car franchises by committing fraud or deceptively selling BMWs purchased from closed BMW dealer only authorized auctions. There is too much at stake for that. LAX does sell some lemon law buy-back cars, but that attribute was disclosed by them as part of the pre-purchase conversations. I declined tp purchase one of them mostly because I felt it might be hard to sell one with that history in the future. Mine was not one of them.

The car I bought didn't have a CARFAX or and AutoCheck report on it; it had never been titled. It was delivered on a MSO (manufacturers statement of Origin) and so it had no history. I check the VIN at my local BMW store's service dept and they told me it had no warranty work on it (so it couldn't be a lemon law car). I checked the CLUE report (insurance claim report; if you have an agent, he can pull one for you) and it was clean there. Upon my request, Luca provided me with a copy of the auction report they had used to purchase the car; I saw the exact description of my new car from a 3rd party vendor and had complete peace of mind in how they did business. You have to make your own decision, but mine saved me $1000s from any other car I had seen. I would absolutely go back for another one! I pre arranged my own financing and there was zero pressure to use their finance arms.

Give Luca Lacovella a call; he is a veteran sales person and will make your transaction as smooth as possible. Because there were so many bad posts, and because this was such a good transaction, I wanted to share my personal background and my experience with you. I would buy again from Luca, George and LAX with confidence.

You don't think this had ANYTHING to do with the way they treated you?

The affiliation with Perillo is more than enough to make me stay away. I don't need any other scary stories, etc. Throw in a guy named Luca and I'm done.

Offensive Posts

I found your racist anti-Italian remarks offensive. Meet the people in person before you cheap-shot smear them on the internet. Learn what tools are available to help you intelligently buy a car. LAX is an honest dealership.

I ended up bought a 2007 CPO 335i coupe from BMW Cleveland. Space gray with coral red interior. This car is a dream !!!!
About Luxury Auto Xchange, I had communications with both Luca and George. They are kind of weird. Firstival, George is spamming me with a lot of nonsense emails, 1 line quote until I un-subscribed from his whatever service. He also told me that he is the general manager of this place, meanwhile, Luca told me that George is the owner. George is kind of rude from his emails too. I do not feel comfortable doing business with him. YMMV.

I didn't even know Luca was an Italian name, LOL. So how bout before you go off calling others racist you know what they are intending. I harbor no ill italian will. They are the darkest of all you whities and have by far the most rhythm! I loves me some pizza and some wild I-ti bubble butt hairy poon!

See, now that's derrogatory.

Better yet - with Luca and the Perillo affiliation I am sure that:

1. These deals are only available through the "wholesale warehouse" because it is all a front to launder money for the Perillo family waste removal enterprise and their strip joint amongst other "legitimate" businesses.

0r

2. These cars have all been used in hits.

Luca was the unlucky nephew who couldn't earn and was banished to the wholesale car distribution his next step down is sleeping with the fishes with his cousin Fredo.

Seriously? Get over yourself, there all kinds of angry jews/spics/slopes on this board who really take S#$T every day from each other.

What I find more offensive is the amount of ageism constantly displayed here. Disgusting!
