LUX AE v5.2 and Adaptive Xenons

I am installing these on my 2008 335i sedan next week and while doing some research I came up with a question. Other posts mention the need to use double sided tape or Velcro for the "black box" to keep it out of the way....I did not get a "black" anything with my order just the two white units. Are these posts referring to a oem part that I have on my car and just need to find a new place for during install? Did this box go away in v5.2? If not, am I missing something that should have been shipped? TIA
