330i FTM / TPMS Questions

so i'm getting aftermarket rims and tires installed tomorrow, would FTM for my e90 330i have to be taken off my current (stock) wheels and then put on to the new ones or is ftm already built into the car or something? please help

It's part of the ABS system. So you don't need sensors in the wheels.

True of my 06 325 wagon

If you go to tire rack they have an explanation of the two types of tpms
the 06 e9x's got the kind that didn't require wheel pods. If it did have them the valve stems would be metal. You should run the reset calibration routine once you get the tires installed
and inflated to the proper preasure while the tires are cold. Its in the manual.

2006 330xi  [6.44]
March '07 is when TPMS became mandated in the US.

All US spec 330s will have FTM as they are all '06 models....pretty sure.

I got aftermarket wheels and no need for tpms...06 and before using the abs system your good to go
