I-Drive not while I Drive?
Does BMW's I-Drive/Navi not work while the car is in motion? My friend has a Escalade and his Navi wont work if the car is moving, even if its 1 mph....Does BMW's do the same?
If it does, is there a way to override or hack it?

IDrive works all the time. Driving or not. The Germans got that part right.

Definitely, the newer Lexuses won't let you enter data while in motion. I think our Honda allows this to be configured on/off. It's a PITA when you can't do it.

Unfortunately that's not totally true (about the Germans part), and I wish it were. My friend just bought the 2010 Mercedes Benz C300, and her Navigation gets locked while in Motion, and she cannot change the destination on the Nav unless the car is stationary. I'm not sure about Audi/VW but BMW may be the only German car maker who doesn't do that. And I have this weird feeling that BMW will eventually do the same due to all the regulations and lawsuits we have here in the US -- just like they switched the E90's side mirrors from the sporty aerodynamic shape to rectangular/SUV style mirrors, just like the M. Benz C class.
