I hooked mine up but there is no sound coming out from the headunit. And the SOS with the slash came up on the dash. Will the coding fix this?? Or did I botch up the install perhaps?

This for the early E90s that did not come with an interface cable to connect ipods/iphones to the idrive.

Will this work for a 06 E90 330i 06/05 build? I hope you say YES.

Sorry to resurrect, but this is the most relevant thread I can find to the interface and vehicle I am dealing with. (I have searched the entire internet. Twice.)

I had the 65110403650 interface installed in my 2009 335i about 4 years ago. It performed so well, I did not even touch it again until now. I went in for 45k mile service and they recommended that I address some sort of battery cable recall. Sure, whatever. I got the car back, and naturally I assumed that all the electronics would be reset, so I just listened to the local radio on the way home.

Fast forward to the next time I crank up the car. My ipod does not come on by itself like it used to, but I can open the glove compartment, wake it up manually, and it will play as if nothing is wrong. The CDC input is always visible, but I have to press the ipod itself before it will play. Oh, and the interface no longer charges it. I remind you, I never took the ipod out of my car prior to this. What do you think has happened?

Check your MOST Fiber Optic Cables, there is a break in the circuit. Meaning you connected them wrong. The SOS error will appear when the MOST Ring is broken. It has to be your connections. Hope this helps.

Most 12, 3 pin

Hi,

I have a Most adapter that has yellow, red, black and two av cables and a slot for optical fiber.

The yellow, red and black do I wire tap to the two wire you pointed out in pin 12 and 3 and then do leave them in the original wiring housing or do I need to remove them.

Could you direct me to the correct way.

Thank you.
