Every individual car is different. Due to how they are used, what things are on/used on the car.

I have previously left a car for 6 months and it started fine. I wouldnt reccomend that though.

How long are you planning on leaving it. Just disconnect the Battery and you should Be fine.

On my E46 the battery went flat after +/- 1 month. On the E9x the battery is bigger, but I suspect there are also more electronic gizmos draining it. So I guess it won't hold much longer than that.

If your going to be gone longer than a month; Disconnect the battery. Obviously thats not ideal in an airport carpark though as the clown nose won't flash then I guess?

NB. And only possible if you've got a manual locking bootlid.. I think not all cars do in E9* ? Because otherwise how do you lock up / unlock afterwards

The alarm light will flash, but even that will eventually power down. I've left my car for a good few weeks, and when returning the alarm light is not flashing and the CA is asleep. Easy to open with keyfob and starts as usual. The car is clever enough to go to sleep if left for a long time, rather than continually draw power for alll those functions that will start to boot-up as you open the door/unlock.

Even the CA keyfob has the hidden key, so you can lock/unlock your car the old fashioned turn key way if you wish. There is a slot on the boot too, under the lip.

As regards leaving it at the airport for a long period, why not just get a taxi. Probably cheaper than paying for parking fees ... I'd be more worried someone clock the car sitting every day and thieve it than worrying about the battery going flat.
