Did you install the strut brace, or did the shop? If you did it, how hard was it to fit the piece in the area under that cowling by the firewall?

Thanks. Got the kit from Harold at HPA a few weeks ago. Don't remember the exact price but it's on his site. I felt the difference immediately and by adding longer adjustable front sway end links my front bar is sitting exactly where it should be now.

Good question. The shop installed it and knowing about this beforehand, I asked the technician and he said it was tough to get under it. Since I had the camber plates I preferred they do it but in the end I was annoyed with the camber plates issue. (not sitting right)

The M3 strut brace kit isn't really a tough DIY at all.

Thanks. The LSD is already installed. Waiting patiently on the Ohlins as a result of the Vorshlags are on back order. They should ship any day...
Oh and I forgot the Kleeman tune! That's installed already with the Wagner IC.

Wow! I have only -1.8 and am worrying about tire wear.

Lol...-2.5 is not as crazy as some other guys I know.

I put the camber plates on so might as well take advantage of them.

Hey John, who did your alignment? I'm curious to know which shops in the GTA can handle and are willing to do an alignment on a car with adjustable camber plates.

Sure thing man. I'll be removing the stock bushings and will be adding BMW motorsport race bushings (Group N) that are in the pic from above.

A few cosmetic things....already put on the BMW Performance grilles and want to add the color matched reflectors and a trunk lip. Maybe some 10mm spacers all around.

I would looooove to have an exhaust custom made by a local shop.....nothing to warrant a tune, just mufflers/tips for a little extra noise. We'll see....

My car is a daily drive and is fun enough as it is. So I am not looking for any power increase or suspension improvement at this point.

This spring I will do the following:
new 193 wheels and getting rid of the RFT (done)
performance grills and black-out of chrome
LED lights in the angel eyes and fog lights

This coming winter, when the warranty period ends, I will perform the delete with block plates of EGR, Jess dp in place of DPF, a tune and coding out of the EGR/DPF/SCR.

Next spring may surely entail some minor suspension upgrades and further exhaust work, but level of investment will be highly dependent on perceived reliability after the delete.

They look great!

How does the car feel? What are your first impressions? Any significant changes in ride quality? Was is it worth the time and money?

Thanks.

I've done quite a bit with my car and some things at incremental stages so I can tell even the slightest of differences. The car definitely felt a tad more planted and tighter, especially around corners immediately after the install. Car handles like crazy to begin with.

I'd say (the stronger bushings) it added a little bit more NVH to the ride quality but I blurred that line ages ago.
