Phoenix AZ Tint

Picking up my 335i coupe next week - I need a guy who can do 5% ceramic tint all around. Pretty sure I will need ceramic as I have NAV and Comfort Access.

Anyone have a guy that does a great job and the price is right?

I know Smartshield comes recommended by the guys on ScottsdaleExoticCarClub.com
They also have a discount for 25% off on there. I need to have mine done as well and thinking of going there.

You do realize 5% is going to be crazy dark at night right?

^ +1 5% is quite dark. I know phoenix is hott and all during the summer, but it's going to be a PITA for you to back up, look out your side windows, or ANY windows for that matter.

I use to live in phx and hate 5% on the back... i regretted it!

I don't know if ceramic tint even comes in 5%? anyone can confirm this?

I've got 10% all the way round and definitely have problems at night if I'm in a neighborhood or residential area. Commercial parking lots are generally lit well enough that I can get by.....BUT.....the car looks so much better with dark tint!!

I've always had 5% on my cars. Only time it's a bother is when I backup out of my garage to get around another car - I just rolldown my window, no big deal.

Anyone else besides Smartshield in Phoenix? I called but they are only open 9-5 M-F and they are at least 30 min away from me, which is not going to work. Anyone hear of Dark AZ Night? They are mobile and will come to my office. Thanks.

i emailed smartshield a couple days ago, and they responded saying they don't do tint anymore. I was bummed because I really want the huper optik film put on my car. I might just go with dark az night as well

I ended up just going to the BMW dealer. Not a bad job. They did want $800 for ceramic, which I didn't think was reasonable, so I just got the standard stuff. Ended up around $300. Still seems strange to me that it is so hard to get your windows tinted in Arizona. Oh well.

Don't buy into the bullshit hype. Huper Optik is over-rated and over-priced. It's not the last word in tint like some people will lead you to believe, and definitely not worth the premium over a good tint from a reputable shop. I'm not saying it's bad tint, I'm saying it's not worth the rediculous prices that most shops try to charge you.

Dude go to The Tint Shop Incorporated . They did an excellent job with my car and their prices are reasonable. Their on e. camelback rd.
