The only thing standard on the 335is is the unique M-sport package it offers. Otherwise you can have a stripper model if you wished. It drove me nuts trying to find one that had Harmon Kardon, so I ended up just ordering one fully loaded. Like really, $60,000+ car and you won't order the damn $875 kickass stereo?!? Dollar for dollar the best money spent for any BMW...

Right? Mine came with Hi-Fi. Sounded pretty bad. So I spent like $2k upgrading it. Wish I would have shopped around more for one with NAV and HK.

How happy are you with the aftermarket audio? The navigation/idrive is nice now, but in a few years it'll be laggy and look very dated. If you plan to keep your car awhile, it will be a wiser choice to skip it and help resell! Just think how crappy all those E46 M3's look with their archaic nav unit now.

I didn't get the Nav and I was kinda upset after but I actually like it better without it

I'm extremely happy with the components I chose. I have the option for another amp and sub later if I really need to, but even without a sub it sounds wonderful. This is coming from a guy who has audiophile amp/dac/headphones at home. I don't really care about NAV, since I just use google maps on my phone through my bluetooth adapter.

I have had a loaner 428 and 528, both with NAV and iDrive. I really like it a lot. The sound system didn't wow me. It was better than HiFi in my e92 though.

Right. Mine is pretty stripped down. All I have is the standard M package and the cold weather package was added. My sound system sucks. I don't have navi, comfort access, folding mirrors, etc. etc.

That's all right.. I have cold weather and premium.. Just no nav and conv package.. It's not about those anyways.. The 335is is a unique car with or without all the packages..like the other poster said in a few years the nav is going to look outdated anyways.. iPhone 6 = Nav

Yeah very true. I'm more of a driving guy anyway. My '05 Audi S4 spoiled me on creature comforts. But, I'd rather have a more stripped down interior in lieu of extra performance bits. I couldn't be more happier in a factory car with this kind of performance for the price I paid!

I was running JB4 on a bone stock 2013 335is with DCT. I went from an "integrated" unit to ISO running 16.hex to 24.hex every increment along the way. I had the best success with 18B.hex

Once you mod your car with DCI, DP, FMIC, bigger turbos and new exhaust, you really need something like the JB4 or Cobb or Proceed to compensate for the changes you have made. But for the 335is, BMW has already made some of those changes for you. I had nothing but problems since day one - guinea pigging myself on a daily basis. Since I remained stock, the JB4 didn't really help much. In the end, the JB4 wasn't able to clear the codes faster than the ECU was able to create them.

Once removed, I was finally able to eliminate:

( ) Low throttle oscillation
( ) Hard shifts between gears
( ) Shift lag in D-AUTO
( ) Incorrect downshift rev-matching in SPORT-SPORT
( ) No boost on downshift till upshift matches OEM
( ) No correct "overboost" operation
( ) No correct Launch Control operation
( ) Engine Malfunction - Reduced Power
( ) CAN lag between JB4 and ECU
( ) Being locked out of JB4 entirely once overheated while you are halfway between
Phoenix and Flagstaff with 3/4 of a tank of E85 mix and your car doesn't know what to do!!!

Whatever...I still stick by my original impression back in April 2013:

Adman, I love your youtube video - "I like that"

Thanks. Seems so long ago. That was for the BMW "Superbowl" contest.
Guess they decided not to go through with it after all. Oh, well...

My 335is brothers, has anyone tried putting a 285/30 on the stock 313s 19"? I have 275/30 now and they fit fine. I can even run a 10mm spacer with just a little rubbing under big bumps. I have NT05s now but thinking about PSS or RE11 next.

Thanks.

Bigger is better, lol. I read that the PSS are more squarish and actually run about a size bigger so a 275/30 may suffice in those. My rear NT05s are toast with 7.5k miles.

I guess what I meant was... Looks, or traction? If latter why not just go to a pilot sport cup in your current size? Hehehehe devil horns.
