question about privacy laws in Ontario

Just a quick question, hopefully some of you know the answer to this.

If you videotape someone on the roads (i.e. cars doing stupid stuff, drivers having a hissy fit behind you, people trying to park at Pacific Mall, etc) and then post it on Youtube, would it be considered a violation of privacy?

it isn't, as what is done in public can be recorded by someone else (for instance a person that takes a picture of someone else that is out in public) for non-commercial purposes. of course, i am not a lawyer.

more info here:
http://ambientlight.ca/laws.php

if you are recording and you are the driver, this may be illegal as it could be considered dangerous or distracted driving.

I found a fairly good deal for a dashcam and I thought of installing one on my car when tracking and also for insurance purposes. But then I got the idea...why not post some of the funny/dangerous things I see on Toronto roads onto Youtube? I'm sure there are some times where you've seen someone do something absolutely stupid and went "I wish I had a video camera handy". (I've seen a guy read a newspaper while driving...a TTC bus).

If you do something like that, you should consider editing such videos and smudging people's faces and license plates. What may be funny for some could land others in a heap of trouble. As an example, perhaps the opposite sex passenger (or perhaps same sex to be politically proper) is not exactly a family friend, etc. etc. Just seems like a multitude of ways to potentially screw up the life of some unsuspecting driver.

I'll be sure to drive extra courteously around montego blue 335i sedans!

Is this also apply to filming/recording a conversation with a cop when he pulls you over without his consent?
