Hey I wanted to bump this thread because it looks like I'm going to be an upcoming freshman and wanted to know anyone that dorms there and how everything is like the campus and people. Thanks

Dorm food sucks, get the lowest meal plan... uhm lived in AI which is better for me since its closer to campus and the gym compared to pentland and lothian. Pentland is an additional grand because its more fancy but honestly imo it isnt worth it unless you REALLY need your own bathroom. Campus/people is alright, either know a good crowd, join a frat, or know someone from a frat or else you'll be bored as hell during ur weekends.

Thanks for the tips! Do you recommend taking my car there I'm planning on housing either at east lothian or pentland but will probably go to a tour to see for myself. I just dont want my car to get broken into.

Pentland is good if you want a little more privacy, otherwise go with East Lothian if you want the traditional dorm experience. Steer clear of A&I and West Lothian. The campus is much nicer now and the people are cool, but it's going to be what you make of it. Make friends and have a good time. The dorm food is garbage, especially toward the end of the quarter.
