LUX Angel Eyes: Are they good?

How good are these? Can you really see your Halos clearly when it's sunny outside? My current Angel Eyes can barely be seen in the daylight. I'm thinking about placing my order tonight, but I want to hear your reviews first. The ones I'm looking to purchase are the LUX E90 LCI Halogens Link:http://luxangeleyes.com/products?qui...=5#quicktabs-1

Here are images of my 328i

Yeah, um.... i mean, uh, umm... yeah. You can't have that look cause the car you are drooling over has Xenons. You have corona rings on projectors. That costs some coin to upgrade. You can get the non Xenon bulbs, but it will be different. Also, look around for cars that have your lamps.

I just want my rings to be as bright. Will LUX make them as bright? And I was doing some research on the Xenons, it's WAY over priced. Who would pay $1500 for headlights?! No thanks. lol

The non Xenon rings won't be quite as bright but a lot whiter & brighter than stock. Yeah, crazy that it costs $1500+ for an option that is only $900 from the factory, but thems the breaks, like buying m tech after the fact.

That's true I suppose. So do you think the LUX will be bright enough to see in broad daylight on a hot Florida day? lol

I'm sorry to say you'll *probably* never be happy with your headlights and they won't look very close to the image you posted. I only caught a glance of the image you posted, but I saw closed rings at the top, so must have been earlier versions of the all-LED OSS rings.

That being said, since you do not have projectors, only reflectors with halogen bulbs, all you'll do with brighter rings is washout the entire headlight with light because the reflectors will bounce the extra light all over.

Look at the example on LUX's own website... Answers you're question for what it will look like, doesn't it? Although it looks like they left the shutter open too long to give the false appearance of an even brighter look. Looking at the stock angel eyes on the right gives it away... I gotta say that's pretty lame false advertising. So they won't look that washed out.

I have used LUX for the last 5+ years and they are great. They're highly visible in direct sun and Marc has even repaired them for me for the cost of shipping only. I highly doubt that you would get that level of service from any other manufacturer.

Thanks, I'll definitely take this into consideration. Customer service is always a plus.

I have the Lux LCI halogen Led Angel Eye bulbs and they are great. They are 3 times brighter and white in color. No error codes and no problems. Good Luck!

There you go. Someone else who bought them and likes them.

So go for it and be sure to report back, hopefully with more pictures, so that people who end up in your situation in the future can see your thread when they search for the LCI halogen Angel Eyes...

I find LUX to be pretty bright in the daytime. MUCH brighter than the crap LED AE Projector90 headlights I got from Jlevi a few years ago.

Are they as bright as the OEM LCI's? Not quite. Do I regret them in any way? No.

Go for it.

No. You cannot ever achieve that look with lightpipe-based AE implementation, regardless of what kind of bulb of what power you use.

The only way to get well-defined AE rings is to install the LEDs in the actual ring, all the way around the ring, the way it is done in LS3, OSS or Umnitza AE implementations.

I use LUX bulbs, they work as advertised, but they are virtually invisible from some angles, especially in daylight.

I have the LUX for halogens. Honestly you can barely see them in the daytime. That Said, I think they look great around dusk and at night. Here's a pic:

You will need to search the internet. I don't know off hand what they go for these days.
