E60 Style 243 on E92?
Guys, I'm just wondering if a set of E60 (5 series) wheels will fit without arch work:
http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/2430.htm The wheels in question are 7.5J x 17" and have an offset of ET20 with 225/45 tyres fitted all round, or they will be if they are OK as I'll be looking for a set of wInter tyres. Currently I have: Front 8.5J x 19" with 225/35 tyres, offset with 10mm spacer is an aggregate ET33 Rear 8.5J x19" with 255/30 tyres, offset with 16mm spacer is an aggregate ET27, or an alternative offset with 16mm spacer is aggregate ET23 with 235/35 tyres. These are ACS recommended offsets from their tables. Obviously E92 8J x 17" are ET34 by the BMW book. The rears look like they will be fine according to the above, but what about the fronts? Difference is 13mm further out (ET33-ET20), but is this difference counteracted by the fact they are an inch narrower (8.5J-7.5J), so I'll probably end up with about the same offset in reality? Thanks if you could help please! Current Set up for summer driving is (dropped on Eibach springs): Last edited by JohnW; 02-08-2010 at 07:22 AM.. Reason: pic of current wheels |
